Cant get new ship after promotion to commander.

I thought getting promoted to commander meant i can select a ship for one energy credit. I did talk to admiral quinn. I cant access the commander skill sets too.

    2 questions: Are you a gold member? And, have you spent all available skill points?
    A contract is a contract...(but only between Ferengi).

    Same here, I got promoted to Lt. Commander, and couldn't get a new ship. Are they restricted to gold members now? I had an earlier, non-gold account, and was able to obtain a new ship on every promotion.

    And yes, I did the Admiral Quinn promotion mission before trying to get the free ship.

    who are you talkign to to get the ship? (yes silver players get free {but sucky} ships)

    When I go to the lady at the shipyard, it tells me I need 40,000 Dilithium in order to get the next Ship as a Commander, there is NO option to buy with just 1 energy credit like I did for Lt. Commander. I tried to get to STO's Support page and it times out. I only have 3,000 Dilithium at the moment, I will be Vice Admiral by the time I get 40,000 Dilithium to buy a Commander level ship, Help!?

    had this bug too. go to admiral quinns office (ESD), accept a mission that says "promotion to {your_rank}", go out of his office and enter it again, then he will tell you to go to shipyard and talk to that woman with the ships. you will get one for free.
