ok so im sure by now that everyone has seen the passives on tribble. well 2 passives that stick out. the dem passive and the passive that will give you jams that cant be broken and can be speced. i was told you can get a free jam of 10 secs. even if this is not true even a 3-6 sec jam is way too op. non of this is even needed in pve. so i have to ask, why sub doffs, dem passive and jam passive? are they trying to make all the pvp'ers in this game leave? or is it to bring more pvp'er into it? if its to bring in new blood this is wrong way to do it. im sure you will make alot of people leave. if team a cant see team b and team b cant see team a then what is the point? the dem passive is a 2.5 chance with 100% sheild pen. the jam is a 20% chance that can be boosted.
"Putting points into the Neural Neutralizer Duty Officer power will now properly increase the duration of the Placate."
can the jam please be broken using damage? hate to see the kdf or the fed version of the kdf space set get placae plus the passive placae proc. then the dem passive comes in......we know every class will pick these 2 passives. but what about carrier pets? will these passives/procs apply to them as well?

Everything that has been added to the game in the past year or so has little to no impact on PvE (other than making things pretty or, for some reason, easier) but has a detrimental effect on PvP. Hasn't stopped them before, won't stop them now.
Assuming your using 7 weapons. Next we will assume a 15% crit chance just to be safe followed by that 5% chance to placate. So a .75 of a % chance to proc per volley with what I listed above shouldn't be a huge deal.
In fact, I would be much more concerned with them adding in 2 new ways to improve crit modifier first with the new passive and the lobi console. It has a huge risk of getting easily out of hand if the modifiers can get too high just look at ground.
And I"m assuming the kinetic proc is just a DEM like effect and adds damage, not that it coverts the attack into the proc.
And lastly I'd bet good money that new rom rep ability will result in a Sci Boff ability nerf at some point.
Sigh, just forget it. By the point of season 7 Cryptic might as well just remove the PvP from the game all together. Why they even bothered including it in the first place I don't know.

If the theory is top level pvp'ers is driving out newcomers, these changes will only hurt the newcomers even more. How many times have we talked about the changes to the game widening the gap between the vets and the newcomers? This will only further increase that. Ppl coming on and saying escorts are OP or claims that ppl are cheating will increase ten fold when some new guy gets vaporized right through his shields and has no idea why.
You think trics are a problem now? Give them a 5% chance to go straight to hull. I personally however will be shooting HY quantums as fast as my little sci ship can spit them out. Whats a HY quantum good for against a target with no shields? Why even use trannies anymore with a 5% chance to go straight through with even a normal quantum?
Actually I like the passives idea. But I would prefer if you had something like "Captain slots" and could only have 1 in each category. So you gather several of them in different reputations but can only slot few.

I'm writing because I'm fetching and fishing for people to come over. This game doesn't deserve the kind of love and care we have sunk into it over these last few years. And frankly at this point neither does most of the player base we tried to help improve at the game either.
Also, frankly there's no point in any of us giving these losers feedback. They don't listen and they don't care anyway. You see the TRIBBLE that's on tribble right now right?? Tell me -any- of that garbage says "we listened to you guys".
These changes appear to only improve those that are willing to do scores of grinding and PVE related content. It was kind of good run, but frankly, the game has consistently went downhill since S3. I won't say I'll leave the game outright, but I don't have the time or energy to work on this new method of conning people out of the little resources they get from the game and potentially RL cash for a game that has no interest in improving the only aspect I enjoy.
It's the same garbage as the fleet shipyard TRIBBLE. KDF has **** ships as is, so hey, let's add a ridiculous grind/resource grind so that player base, that has been f-ed-in-the-a since launch, can finally get comparable escorts to the feds, but still not ... It's been real fun.
This new grind is on a pure character basis now, (much like the fleet ship purchases,) thus making it impossible for someone with multiple characters (say 11,) to reasonably grind this new system. That would, effectively, ruin the fun of having multiple characters.
To end, time will tell, but I don't really see anything good coming from these changes.

a good example is my fleet defaint with no rsp or even tss2( only sheild heal atm is brace for impact and borg proc) can solo a doc killing all npc and cube with out dieing. i dont even need the extra sheild hp per sec. tho that might be a better choice for a person that only grinds stf. the dem and plasice passives will not help you in stf but would be uber in pvp.

Do you really think PvP'ers have an effect on Cryptic's bottom line? They're a company. They have no morals. Their goal is to make money as efficiently as possible.

So your argument is, 1hr a day "of PVE" on each of my 15 toons will get them all to T5 after 90 15hr days? And this method is easier than doing 10-15 (at about 10 minutes each) elite STFs with fellow PVPers to get the gear I want/need for my toons?
I'm all for more to do, and a more reliable way to acquire equipment so long as "PVP" is equally rewarded. As it is, as it has been, and obviously as it will remain ... you're rewarded NIL and are required to do PVE.
Not to mention they made PVP a repeat mission for DIL and the gates have been flooded with AFK d-bags. That should go back to kerrat so all those d-bags can hog up that zone and be worthless somewhere no will care.

As for the passives, they are just stupid.
As for the actual STF gear, on any given toon I have had to do them 10-20 times to get the proper MK XI/XII drops. 2 of my toons I got the MK XII on the first ISE. 9 more for the engine/def. Done. With a decent group, that's 7-10 minutes each. Not a big deal.

well there is people that have done over 1000 runs and did not even get a mk12 item. so im very happy that you did recieve the "luck" drop. to be honest pvp should not get the marks needed for rep system to be honest. has nothing to do with this bs story line they got going. was hoping the star base would get an opposing fleet to take it over and that would be ground/space pvp. with fleet marks.

I'll be checking out that game when it officially launches and is out of beta. I wanna enjoy it without the beta-period bugs and revisions
