I sold one on exchange yesterday for 1 000 000 Ec, it's not a joke.
It's one of the most rare item ingame, so prices goes up
Say WHAT?!?!
I need to raid my toon that holds all my rare food incase I ever felt like tribble breeding again. Geez that price is insane. Why is it so much? is it the Doff cooking missions?
O_O, I have over 2,000 hearts since I've been playing. I had wanted to make a toon just to breed tribbles, but never got around to doing it. All I did was collect, collect, collect the rare food stuff. I regret not keeping my Romulan ale, oi.
I might place a few hundred on the exchange, see what I can get for them.

however, being the only fleet looking for them, we are not paying that much anymore. as we are not gonna buy 700 of them at a mil a peice.
there is hopefull thinking, and eventually when other fleets do this mission you might have a better chance, but for right now we are not buying at inflated prices, and since we are basically your only clientel, you do the math.. lol..

I know I asked my fleet last night how we're going to get 1,000 hearts seeing as it is the scarcest rare food item in-game and on the exchange and that there are a few other large fleets also trying to get the chef.
I've been running the "breaking the planet" fleet actions and a few klink ground episode replays, but nothing, not a one. 1,000 is an absolutely ridiculous requirement. Either they need to bring this down or add targ hearts to the replicator/dil store. Heck, here's a crazy idea, why not have targs drop targ hearts as loot?

"why not have targs drop targ hearts as loot?" You know that make sense but this is Cryptics does not!!
About 6 months ago I almost cried when I had to pay 80k.. sold one of my three hearts for 750k....(I thought that the exchange was fupped)... that is just sick!
"[...] You know that make sense but this is Cryptics does not!!"
Word! I don't know in how many ways we have tried to bring this to their attention. And I am certain we are not the only ones who tried. All you get back is some weired non-sense like - It's working as it was designed. Anyone there ever thought that the design was wrong in the first place?
To live in a perfect world just expect less than nothing...
1,000 Hearts of targ are worth roughly 1,000,000,000 EC on the Exchange right now. That is more than 10 Galor ships are worth right now.
Too bad. Even if your fleet had the amount of EC needed there is simply not enough supply available on the exchange to meet the demand. You wouldn't even be able to buy 20% of the amount needed on the exchange.
On top of that, one Heart of Targ only gives you 4 fleet credits. And you thought the amount of fleet credits you get for DOFFs were a joke.

the only two times i remeber seeing/getting them as a drop was
-a random klingon

I would advise using the exchange

But do you really need the utterly useless masterchef title so badly that you'd pay a million or more?
Skip those overpumped offers, eventually the heart will drop on you on ground missions.

Try not to collapse any market that might be there... :S

Obviously Targs like to drink Romulan Ale and other food items.
