Once again I'd like to thank all the participants for a wonderful evening, and I hope to host another such tournament soon! Hopefully, we'll get the time-frame right so that we can host more participants next time for an even more amazing tournament. I hope to see you there!
Yes, I'd think they probably should be. I didn't want to ban them this tournament because I thought that they weren't nearly as bad as siphon drones, but they are close, especially if you have several carrier's worth of them.
Is there a PVP League Chat Channel? If there is, you should post it somewhere for these tournaments. If not, it might be a good idea to make one. I dont have a team, but I would definitely be interested in doing some 1v1 league or joining another group that needs an extra player.
Anyway, congrats on running a successful pvp tournament!

There is. It's a team speak address is: INTERNATIONALPVP.TYPEFRAG.COM:62245
Thanks to everyone who participated, and special thanks to Project October for hosting.
Please spread the word about hosting another tournament. Thanks again.
Should have been a game between teams at 1-1... looks like Pandas should have taken second place.
I would agree with you, and it would have been nice to face them too. During the event there was delays and whatnot. That said it was fun and I hope to see more.

Why did that match continue for an extra 10 minutes if it wasn't going to be recorded?
TRH was not aware of the time rule, or at least forgot about it completely. Otherwise, we would of ended it at 45 minutes.
SP was aware of it, and claimed victory at 6-5 around the 55th minute right after they scored a 6th and suddenly needed to go afk (only time they led in the match). We then reiterated the time rule to them (after we learned of it) as to it being 45 minutes and that the match was frapsed. We actually thought we lost, but really we had won.
R2 D2 dropped 3 times during the match. Twice during 45min regulation, it led to a couple of kills for Pandas. We didn't include this in the video. Although, we originally did include it with commentary, and thought it would be hurtful towards the effort the Panda put forth as it appeared as though we were exonerating our deaths with his poor internet connection, so we took it out. You might have a glimpse of him dropping once, and me dying shortly after. As well as on a separate occasion him requesting to be moved into the TS room we were all in because he had just got back from disconnect..
Since Naz mentioned something of a come back and some kind of exoneration of the first 45 minutes, I decided to disclose this information about the match.
Your "come back" was in direct result of a connection drop by our team mate and us crossing healing with 4. We are not downgrading the effort you guys put forth that day, but these are the facts.
One should be aware that one of our team members experienced heavy internet connection problems during the match.
A couple of times his game client was unresponsive; he even dropped thrice out of teamspeak and the map. On two occasions the Sad Pandas were able to score kills which were basically 4 vs. 5 situations.
You can even see one of these incidents in the video I put online, roughly beginning at time index 12:00.
Free pro Tipp to all PVP'ers: Get a proper internet. :P
If you loose someone in the middle of a match because of internet problems, this can be a huge game changer.
We had a couple of matches where the permament loss of a team member enabled the opponent to rebounce.
As an example look at this match (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zew7j_IuAiE) against Sad Pandas that took place about 1 or 2 weeks ago. The score was 12:1 for the pugmade that I was part of, until one person dropped (at time index 7:15).
I would like to thank again the opponent teams in both of these matches for their display of fair play by acknowledging the disadvantageous 4v5 situations.
Also thanks again for the Sad Pandas for acknowledging that the 45 minutes were up during the tournament match.

You know, you didn't have a monopoly on internet connection issues. I was effectively put of out the first 10-15 minutes of that match by my connection.
In fact, if you get a chance to watch the match from a Panda POV, there are probably several times you hear my team calling on me to SNB or heal somebody... and I can do absolutely nothing about it because I'm pinged out at 2500ms and dropping so many data packets I can't hear my team yelling at me.
If you want to blame R2D2's issues on our untimely comeback, then surely you see that taking the lead initially was a result of my connection issues. Don't you? lol
Listen, it was a level playing field. You guys had the better day. That is all. As far as other Pandas trying to justify it. Oh well. They're not me, and calling the whole team out is in extremely poor taste.
You might want to work on your diplomacy skills if you intend to be the host of the official "Internation PvP" TS server. Doncha think?
On another note, thanks to the organizers of this tournament. We need more like this.

I think it's in extremely poor taste to remark on the extra 10 minutes of this match, where you finally led and decided to call it gg. We didn't bring this up, but if we hear negativity (even if it is cleverly worded) towards the effort our guys put forth, then there will be candid responses. That's all dude.

The only reason the match ran long was because I, me alone, noted the wrong start time (you guys apparently didn't even know there was a time limit). As soon as we hit the time I thought was correct we stopped. Both of us checked our video logs to confirm the score at 45 minutes and there was NO dispute. Why exactly are you trying to make it look like we were trying to rig the outcome in some way?
compared to the Sad Pandas Turkish RP Heroes is a very young fleet. As you guys mentioned before in another past thread, none of our members are as experienced as Sad Panda members are. We are not really getting help from other PVP fleets knowledge wise. We just try our best and we try to improve our game.
I understand going into the match you guys were the favorites and we the contenders.
And it happened to be that RP Heroes won that match. Fair and square within the rules and despite external technical difficulties.
When we loose against another fleet fair and square, we accept it. We do not try to belittle the winning team in a public forum. We do not go around and tell other people yeah all those other fleets suck.
We did not mention our internet connection issues at first. We deliberatly decided not to go there. If we had lost the match because of connection issues we wouldn't have mentioned it either.
Naz, you may not be aware of this, but look at your posts here in this thread. Can you imagine you how I or other TRH members feel when we see such posts?
At least for me it's basically code for this: "Yeah if this match continued we would have mopped the floor with you! You did not win really. We are the best!"
People don't like to loose. I can relate to that. But I learned to bite my tongue, and if I can do that than you guys of all people can too.
I am aware that people have egos. That is only natural. You have egos we have egos. And truth is we feel disrespected.
First you write "the better team won today" then you write this. I don't know what to think of it.
I mean, it's as if we can't do anything right. If we loose, we suck. If we win, we didn't really win. Because we suck.
The reason why I did not include the following 15 minutes was also partly because out of respect to the Sad Pandas. Because from our point of view it seemed like Sad Pandas tried to take advantage of the fact that we were unaware at first of the time limit rule. And I didn't try to inject unneccessary drama and accusations.
And furthermore, who can really say with 100% guarantee how the match would have ended if the rules were different, say up 15 points no matter how long it will take?
I have the utmost respect regarding the skills of Sad Panda members. And I really appreciate the ideas you have to help newcomers to PVP, your written guides and your Cubs Channel. Come on, let's stop this forum pvp. We are all in this together.

Now that it's over, how did e1 feel about the rules and limitations?

Noticed you missed the additional 10 mins at the end although it didnt affect the overall result....
Look forward to the rematch.

Lost track of time. We went up 6 - 5 but based on tourney rules of 45 mins, we lost. Rule are rules. We came back too late.

Yeah this was voted on and kept under wraps out of courtesy, and at the end of the video 4monkeys trying to exonerate the loss.
Anyway, I don't know why they do this...

I really like the music!
Grats for the game both teams. Heavy spam, but its reality in premade matches, since beginning.
Also, incredible playstile Dr. Lecter. Now can u not love science mvam with tbr!
Edit: Also, for the real viewing pleasure, next time maybe escort can record match.
Poor soul didnt have time to log out.
As far as the MVAM tho, that would be a REALLY busy POV to record from. I have that setup also and you're just hauling A$$ all the time...
