Hi Captains,
We will be bringing down Star Trek Online tomorrow, Thursday, October 18th, at 7AM PDT (click
here to view in your timezone) for maintenance and to apply a new patch. Patch notes can be found
here, and we expect this maintenance to only last for 2 hours.
Thanks for your patience and understanding,

LTS, here since...when did this game launch again?
It's on Tribble because it is part of the new code, so it should be launching with Season 7.
Cheers,
Brandon =/\=
Now that's the best information I've read on the forums in months! Doing the dailies with all your characters is a pain having to input your username (still remembers my old Cryptic username but never seems to save my new PWE username) and password every time.

Glad to see that the EPTS cooldown is getting decoupled and the Phaser Lotus is getting fixed. Good patch.
Still no fix for my messed up boff sit-position. How long would it take to fix that? About 2 seconds, I reckon, lowering a Z-axis a bit.
Longer than you may think. You have to take into account that BOff's, like your toon, have a lot of different body types to choose from. Whatever works for your character has to also work for my tall, super buffed Gorn officer as well.
That being said, I agree with you your officer sits pretty high up. But then it's been like this on several bridges for some time now so I think it's not on their priority list as it doesn't affect gameplay (it's a social zone really). As a side note, every chair I sit in my feed fall under the floor. I've made my peace with it though as I rarely sit in my chair these days.

I am wondering when we will be able to enter the new Tau Dewa sector on Tribble..the explorer in me is chomping at the bit to dicover new worlds and seek out new life forms, to boldly go where no....need I really finish this iconic phrase?:P
no mention of the account server being down in the patch notes so what gives cryptic ?
DELTA PRICE RISING
Actually, I thought so too, at first: that they just use a single, 'one-for-all' bounding box, for fat Gorn and my elegant boffs alike. Then again, they already seem to have proper chair-logic on the (C-store) Odyssey, so how's about them just calling the new function "ImprovedChairLogic ()" on the temporal vesssels too?
It just always bewilders me how they can make such pretty designs, and then foul up on something as trivial as a seating position (which would have been evident at even testing out the bridge once).
And yes, it doesn't affect gameplay, in the sense of having an effect on battles, but it *does* break the illusion; and I really can't take other people on my bridge like this. Which is a shame, really, as the temporal ship bridges are otherwise lovely.
^^ This. Yes, as it even has characteristics of a chroniton torp (time dilation effects) otherwise, this would make great sense. Would also mean ship can actually use its chroniton dmg bonus. And no worries about it getting OP: with an average payload ETA of ca. 5-10 minutes, LOL, I think the game would survive the fix.
I'd guess the account-server is down. Tribble is usually patched friday...
They will announce a Season 7 Test-Weekend, you can expect that Season 7 will go live a few weeks after the Test-Weekend. I just wonder what the reward for the Test-Weekend will be this time... A Romulan-Tribble with Spock-like ears?
If Star Trek Online was an Open-Source (GPL) Game, we would have a low-grind fork.
They expect that the maintenance takes 2 hours, it could be more... A good indicator is the time, the patch get's available. Usually that is about 30 minutes before those 2 hours expire, but this time I'm still unable to download a patch...

I EARNED 1000 days...I didn't BUY it! New LTS=Death to Vet.System: 10/10/12 Never Forget
Something should be done for those who cared enough to have a 1000+ day sub.
Mine is downloading now... so, they might still hit the time target.

STO LTS since launch; NW player since 2014; ARC user - only when I have to put in codes for free stuff
Anyway, my Bridge officers sometimes sit inside the chair, with their legs stuck into the floor.
So the bug may be something complicated, related to the bug where you are in a team, and get stuck in the elevator walls.
Were going to extend maintenance by 5-15 minutes. You should be able to patch up now, though. Thanks for your patience
Cheers,

Just what STO needed, another nerf. This time to the Server Preparedness skill. :P
1 Romulan-Mark, in total? A One-Time-Tribble...
Maybe they should learn a bit from reality and adjust the chair-hight (according to the leg-length), every office-chair can be adjusted in hight, why not those on our bridges? - I know, Jonathan Archer had also trouble with his bridge-chair, and it was 1 inch (the german translation was 2 centimeter)...
If Star Trek Online was an Open-Source (GPL) Game, we would have a low-grind fork.
thanks for the update.
as they said " Hi Captains,

That's cool. I'll just patch up Tribble for later while I'm waiting. It's been a while since I've done it because until just now I haven't been able to transfer a toon since Season 6 went live. I had deleted all of them to start fresh, but I kept getting transfer failed.

Actually, I distinctly recall Trip saying it was 1cm, exactly.
