prolly been mentioned before, but...since MU ships can crossover into STO, why not have missions going the other way, and those ships now with the I.S.S. designation could "return" to the MU in an attempt to turn the tide of the war in the Empire's favor, and thereby destroying the alliance once and for all for we all know Earth rules supreme

Errmm... When the Terran resistance captured Regent Worf, they kinda won over the Alliance... In STO they DEFNETLY won, at wich point O'Brians son "gutted" him (smily) and lead the Terran empire into a new age of glory in the messed up universe that is STO.
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

It made me sad that the Terrans went back to their bad ways even after all they had been through and seeing what the other universe offered.

What I still don't understand is their desire to invade the Federation.

I have to say, I was also upset with the way the MU was handled in STO, especially as I enjoyed the DS9 mirror episodes.

The MU does have a lot of scope for players in terms of story, and just because they captured Worf, doesnt mean the war had to be over. Knowing Kilingons they probly just replaced him and continued on.

I was thinking about what they could do, and came up with the following ideas (correct any mistakes i make..cant remember all the MU quests :)

    1) Make a copy of the MU using the existing galaxy map. All the planets and systems are correct, however the text would need a little tweaking. Access to the universe coul be by a quest chain (Maybe the Orionis Gate malfunctions and created a way for ships to access the universe.

    2) Factions: This is what I was thinking in terms of factions:

The "New Terran Empire" - This is what we have already seen. A breakaway faction of like minded Terrans who have split from the rebellion to return the MU to Terran rule. They control a number of systems and ships. They are currently invading our universe for supplies and resources for the war. The dialogue from the MU OBrien could be just meglomaniac ravings, or Propaganda.

The Terran rebellion - This would be the MU "good guys"- Based out of DS9 the players could visit this zone fr daily quests to help the rebellion fight the Allliance and empire

The Alliance. - Still going after worf was captured, however has lost a number of worlds to the rebellion. Currently ruled over by Regent Jmpok.

As I said, you could have daily quests or chains to hit Alliance worlds for resources. You could even add chained DOFF missions with Terran DOFFs as rewards. The upcoming faction system could possibly be used for gaining MU items & DOFFS from the rebellion

HerMy biggest problem with the STO Terrans is that the whole point if the mirror universe was to show evil versions of the heros. In STO that would be us.
But there is no sign of mirror us.

The Cryptic engine allows for character clones.

So why haven't they done this yet?

There us a mission that let's you travel to the other side, and after you disposedd of O'Brien already, this would have been the perfect spot to introduce our mirror counterpart.

Instead it was just a random NPC fight without any sort of climax after the whole foreshadowing by the prophets

If they ever remaster this mission (fat chance), this needs to happen.

Oh, and any future mirror story must feature at least one Ferengi from other instances get horribly killed. ;)

In all honesty, MU in STO should not even be the way they are....

It was just an excuse for honest Star Trek Captains to be the bad guy and get away with it.

Was never fond of the Terran Empire storyline save for a few notable exceptions. One being the Enterprise Mirror Darkly, and two Kira Nerys in her black outfit she wore.....Ahem ;)

If you're less than thrilled with this timeline's Mirror Universe - there is another Mirror Universe with an interesting development.
See Star Trek: Mirror Universe: RISE LIKE LIONS.

In there, the Terrans finally learn the lessons of Empire and Federation. And topple the Alliance.
