Bran, one question for you. Can we make small edits on our missions now? I mean, I spotted an obvious mistake or two, but I'm not sure if I can tweak that.
Thank you to everyone who submitted their missions for Foundry Challenge #4, and for all the discussion in this thread! From today until Wednesday, September 26th at 10AM PST, voting will be open. Please see this thread for voting information.
Can you guys find your own mission under "new" or "hot"? I can't find mine, and there is a person in the foundry bugs forum who can find any of our missions.

I started another thread, but I am unable to find these missions, any of them.
I had to resort to custom and searching by author and of all the missions I only found one, Ancient Dreams".
Hrmph Well, I've let QA know. For now, the "top rated" tab works, though?
Cheers,
Brandon =/\=
Yes, I think that "top rated" and "custom" work. It might be good to instruct players how to search and find these missions, if there is a bug affecting it.
It's... weird. Laughed hard. I hope it's intended.
It looks like you made the mission for anoher contest: "put the most improbable elements together on a map", but it works pretty well.
I was sad there was no real ending.
I did make some elements of the story intentionally humorous. I made all the objects on the planet surface a seperate objective just so I could add funny comments when you tag them for recovery.
Good point about the ending though... Didn't think of that.
I can already tell this is going to be a hard decision. I've done 3 of them so far and they are pretty good. Some very interesting story and use of the Foundry. I'm looking forward to playing more of them tomorrow.
It had to be posted by 10AM PST yesterday for it to qualify. BranFlakes checked what missions were available at that time and then removed the ones he couldn't find. Was is published by then? If so i'd see what he can do about it.
Excuse my language, but what the HELL! I submitted my mission, and it is not one of the choices for voting, It's up...
Hi q403,
When I went to look for the mission, there was text that stated the mission was a placeholder, so I thought that you were holding that as a placeholder for the official challenge 4 entry and were not able to get it in -- if that is not the case, please let me know and I can get it added to the blog and update the forum posts with the info. Please let me know asap
EDIT: Actually, based of your post, it sounds like that is not the case so I will add it now.
UPDATE: One mission has been added to the blog and voting thread that was published on-time. Also, if you are having trouble finding a mission, please search by author name.
In the words of my flat mate; "oh my god"!
People on here can't comprehend that its UK spelling, not US spelling!
So frustrating when I spend so much extra time spell checking every line!
And it aint hard to get to the top platform!
Note to self:Make next mission Idiot proof!

Heyy..... I wasn't that harsh(about spelling).... And I'm 99% sure that it's spelled Fractal in the UK too. Not sure about Inertial or Celestial though. I may have been a bit aggravated by the jumping puizzle when I wrote down my notes though... Looking back my comments were a bit too harsh.(I wrote down my observations in notepad)
Um seriously though. The jumping puzzle made little sense in the context of the mission.
The first time was ok, climbing on top of stuff to reach a survivor of an attack by possessed guys works.
The second time..... I was like huh? what? Who in their right mind would put a console up there?
The rest of the mission was pretty simple and straightforward. I actually liked the story a lot.
Yeah thats cool mate, It's just frustrating that everyone only puts the negative about missions, why not put whats positive about 'this thing someone just spent hours if not days or weeks trying to create!?
Oh well im of to the Gulf tomorrow so at least I wont have to watch the torturing comments till the contest is long over lol
On that note; good luck everyone, Ill see you in time for the Fifth contest hopefully

I've played through about half the missions and have loved each one.
They're all very different which is awesome, especially when you campare it with the few first challanges.
One odd note, almost all the missions have Q mentioned within the story somewhere.

Alright, it seems that I didn't publish my overhaul before the deadline. It should be up in the next couple of minutes, it will make it much more playable.

Only one more mission to play, but I got to say- great job to everyone!
And it's good that by-and-large it looks like most other players are also liking it. I scanned over all the missions and all of them have good to great star ratings.
I've been in all the challenges so far and I can easy say that this challenge has gotten the highest overall ratings.
Good job to you all and to Bran for organising it well. Thanks for the extra time to finish up our missions after all those delays.
PS- After playing almost all of them, although Q is mentioned in a few, it looks like the Romulans were the race of choice by the majority.

Strange! I was able to find them all this morning and just now by searching Is anyone else having this issue?
Also, karcorner, do you meet the missions' level/ faction requirements on the character you were searching on?
Cheers,
Brandon =/\=
Yes, I've been hearing reports of it all day. It seems to be affecting the Hot and New tabs when searching in them
