not able to make 2 characters

Hi,

Been playing f2p 2 months now, am amazed how good the game is.
But everywhere i read that you get 2 char slots when ur playing f2p.
I have 1 now, but cannot make another.
Can u assist me please?

    Your second slot is a KDF slot, which opens up when you hit level 25. To get more slots that can be used on the Fed side, you have to buy them from the C-store.

    Thinking to get a gold subscription.
    Then ill get more chars.
