Unable to Customize ship

I have bought the Heavy escort carrier Armitage and I am unable to change the appearance. It says I have to buy the outfit pack which it says is free. When I click buy it tells me I already have it. So I can do nothing. Please help.

    I have the same problem on my Armitage too. I think it is related to a recent patch that supposedly "fixed" some customization problems on the Armitage. I am pretty sure if you discharge and reclaim your ship it will be customizable again, although I won't do it because I don't want to redo my power tray.

    Does that work? Looks to me OP has bought the ship and wants to do some customizing right after purchase.

    I have the same problem. I stick with it as it is now. I just want to do some minor customizing, but I don't want to swap all weapons, consoles etc to a new ship, just to find out that you cannot cutomize that one either.

    I can however customize older ships I have.

    I have the same issue as well. I may try dismissing and going again, because its driving me nuts.

    i have a patrol escort hermes class that i bought with dilithium and i am unable to customize this ship in any way. i have contacted perfect world numerous times with no response. and i cant discharge this ship and get it back because i bought it with dilithium (120,000) and i do not know what to do. please help.

    Yep same problem here, purchased a ship with dilithium (Hegh'ta Heavy BoP) so I cannot dismiss it, and any changes I make in the ship tailor will not go through even though I accept the changes and agree to pay the fee. It shows previous state as soon as I go back into the ship customization screen or go into orbit and see if the changes took or not, no go. It's broke. :(

    I too have been unable to make any changes to my Armitage as it says I have to buy the ship [it tells me the price is "free"], but then tells me that I already have it in my inventory.

    I have contacted a GM and filed a bug report with PWE, but patch after patch there is no fix to allow me access to the ship I paid $$$ for.

    Has anyone had success in dismissing their Armitage and getting a new one from the shipyard???

    You have to remove everything from the ship, then dismiss it. Then go back to the shipyard and claim a new one. It's pain but that fixes it.
    Note: This leaves you with 2 extra consoles but you can only mount one point defense console and it only works on the Armitage which also only has one hanger slot.
    I did this and it worked, it was annoying but it also gave me a chance to reorganize my power trays better.
    If something is not broken, don't fix it, if it is broken, don't leave it broken.

    im having this issue and the gms dont give a ****, also the ****ing support page does NOT work

    I've had the same problem. I bought the Kumari and, because I purchased it from the C-store, I was able to discharge it and then reclaim it and that did the trick. I have the same problem on a Fleet Heavy Cruiser Retrofit, but I can't discharge it without losing it. I even had the GM helping me threaten me with violating Terms of Service for bothering them about the same problem. How's that for customer service. So, I am going to submit a bug report once a week, and include the previous bug report number, until it is fixed. I'm sure they'll just ignore me, but there really isn't anything else to do.

    I had this problem as well with my mobius and a fleet ship and fixed it for myself http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=592791

    Try renaming your ship,costs a small amount of ec, and it might fix the problem for you aswell. If that does fix it you can rename the ship back to what it was after but it will "lock" the ship again

    Hell does anyone even remember the last time the support page actually worked?? I think it was a tuesday with a blue moon......or was that the night of the neon pink moon?

    I've been having this problem for a few weeks. It's annoying, I don't expect anything will be fixed specifically. I did not have succes discharging and reclaiming a new ship.

    It seems to me that there is some sort of reference error with the file pathways or something, because of other odd activity in the uniform and ship tailor UI. I'm hoping it will be fixed with the overhaul in the new update. so fingers crossed y'all.

    This may not help everyone, but I found that if I renamed my ship after claiming a replacement, or purchasing a ship it will not allow me to customize the appearance. If I rename after modifying, the changes seem to stick. Doesn't solve the problem, but it's a work around.
