I have a female toon (I'm a guy  ) and in all my years of playing MMO's (about 6 now I think) I've only had one instance of anyone hitting on me and thinking I was a girl.
So... idk what this guys talking about.
I've had it happen a few times. I tend to have..... lovingly crafted characters...
keep that to Risa and betazed (where nudity is the norm apparently)
What? Wait!....There's nudity on Betazed???

is that all people do all day is eye up their toons? no wonder PUG's are so bad. everyone is looking at their butts all day long.
No, it's just the most common excuse insecure males make when they have to admit they play females. They have to assert their heterosexuality (I stare at her butt) so that they don't psychologically collapse in on themselves, when in reality, it's probably nothing to worry about.
I'm a female and all my characters are female, and I never get any of this... I used to back in older MMOs about 10 years ago. I think these days most guys assume the "MMORPG" rule stated above, which is just damned fine by me. Getting hit on every time I stepped through a door got pretty old. About half of the other women I know who play online games actually play males for a variety of reasons, the most common being to avoid that behavior (which again, I have not encountered in a long time), or because they think they're hawt and like to personalize him and play as him (can't argue, it's tempting).

What I find puzzling is when those same males become confused and angry when people treat them as female in-game. I've had players message me with 'Hey, I'm really a guy.' right after I meet them. Makes you wonder what they thought would happen, and why they wouldn't want people to react to the gender they, themselves, selected.
Maybe that's a problem with both genders, though, and I'm only seeing the one end of it. To my way of thinking, if you play a male or female, that's your decision but accept all that comes with your choice.
For the simple reason I enjoy looking at a female body.
I ain't never one single time experienced anything sexual or abusive, in sto, and have to write that off to drozna station, me being on ds9 or earth spacedock.

I play an Orion with an all Orion crew... during missions it's 5 green chicks in bikinis kicking down doors and laying waste to all who oppose us!

Male orions with MALE orion crews mostly (one has a couple of klingons and a Gorn as well)
because female orions are a biohazard folks
Never trust a crew member who can chemically mess with your mind
Unless she's your boss and already manipulating you. Remember, Orions are a female dominated society.

Not "afraid of"
Cautious of and not particularly interested in would be more accurate.
they are after all chemically dangerous to sentient life (male sentient life that is)
And orion society is only female dominated OUTSIDE the imperial military
there are Free males living in Klingons society today
Enslavement of either gender by the other leads to extinction
this is a Trek wide Rule
There is more to existance than Sex folks
A lot more
craziest ramblings I've seen from you yet today...
lol women are chemically dangerous to life... haha

they are biochemically active
the chemical destroys male will , leading to stupidity , lack of self control and eventually Death
I often suspect theres an Orion woman hiding behing Quinns desk somewhere
You never noticed the Orion women using those chemical attacks on you in incursion?
some male dont like female and some females dont like males
all fine by me
but star trek have sexy females and it must stay here easy as that
and orion female must stay so as they are same as in the serie
and if you think orion girls are to sexy dont play her easy as that
here my last VId
from leeta she cute btw in the serie :P

they are people
Just like men
Gender is a matter of biology like eye colour or height
its like saying "i don't like short people"
They are all different
Some women are efficient officers , some are not
some are intelligent conversationalists , some are not
Some are good soldiers and some are not
Just like men
Your problem I suspect is you can't think of them as just people
you are partially inpacted by a biochemical drive
one I simply don't have
not your problem and not mine either
people are just different
I find it ironic that yesterday you were saying a married man and woman is "normal".
Yet without sex we wouldn't have an existence...
its the norm
the intended path of life
and Sex is not the same as reproduction
But I can't really be bothered explaining the difference
Not everyone has to breed ricky
some of us indeed should ideally not (global over population being a concern)
Its quite possible to live a happy life without Ever bothering with all that
I like to call it 'practice'. I like to get lots of practice.
Agreed.
