A Borg is not a walking corpse, they just look like one. If they were indeed dead after assimilation, then Picard and Seven would not have been able to regain thier individuality. The person that was is still there, only locked away and subdued by the Collective.

    A common claim easily disproven

    Picard already HAD cyborg parts
and thus was already artificially alive

and Seven was never de -assimilated (as removal of some implants would have been fatal)

Ergo neither one is actually ALIVE without borg/artificial parts

    its the weirdness
you don't get a married couple retiring to quarters locking the door and turning the lights out

you get a Klingon and a TRILL
or a Klingon human hybrid and a human
or a three year old Ocampa and a much older tallaxian

there is not need for it

Fantasy is an important element to any fiction, whether it be sex or something else. Married couple = real life = boring. People look to fiction for an escape and if there wasn't a need for it, it wouldn't exist.

Sci fi is not about Dead people not staying dead in general terms

I disagree again, any zombie flick - although it may contain horror elements - is inherently Science Fiction. I could give tons of examples.

enh, I also must disagree. If Borg actually WERE dead they would be far less dangerous.

Married couple = normal = acceptable
weird = not normal = not believable

Zombie flicks are not science fiction (except possibly resident evil)
    they are supernatural horror

    depends what animates the corpse

if its "magic" A naturally occuring virus or something from outer space its Horror

if its a micro chip , nanites or an engineered virus its bad sci fi

    Rules of Zombies

    1 they are stupid
    2 they are aggressive
    3 they do not recover

i think Borg are just living begings with some extra parts on them to make the beter in a way

lets say a super human replace a arm with a titanium arm so you have more power but you stil are human with a beating heart

and am rely sure we get this kind of super human also in real live

only queen borg was more robot i think only her head was human ore orther race

her body was not flesh anymore what i saw in the serie

Wowie haha. As an actual female, I've only played one other MMO and I got hit on all the time over there (even when I put on an armor set that looked like a smelly bug costume -- if I had a female face out.... If you are familiar with Star Legends, I hid behind a Mecha Man Helm). What I've so far had on this game was extremely decent in comparison -- no flirting at all. I didn't know that there even were that many pervs on this game. XD

its pathetic but this will probably always happen.

I play a few female characters as well, and I just set up outfits that make them hairy, ugly, and extra plump, for when I goto Drozana.

Seems Drozana is the creepy back alley of STO.

The pervs that comment really need to close the game, take care of their business, then come back when they can act appropriately. Games are NO PLACE for sex.

Lol no need for all that. I stop by Drozana all the time to organize bank/inv/exchange -- never been spoken to once. Just dress up in Federation uniform (looks good enough to me. *shrugs*) and no one will talk to you. XD

Or maybe I just completely lack a sexy aura.

In any case, I wish I could actually roleplay (as a Vulcan) -- and I am a Vulcan at heart (with natural preference of logic over emotion), but I have too much to laugh at in my mind and I was never good at deadpan.

*in a movie announcer's voice* It's not new...it's not original...It isn't even very interesting. But it is coming this summer! The Borg, as you've never seen them before....DEAD!

    The Borg, they've been...Done...to...DEATH :P

Or 28 Days Later, Zombieland, etc. The list is huge and yes they are science fiction. Do they involve science in the reanimation of living flesh? Yes. Are they fiction? Yes. Science Fiction.

    Zombies are usually magical

science naturally being merely "sufficiently advanced magic"

28 days was a natural virus (so Horror not sci fi)

    not seen zombieland

and no im not the moral compass

    im the moral Set square

The Borg aren't the Star Trek version of zombies. They are far more insidious than that. With a zombie, they are just animated corpses that no longer have that spark that makes them human. With the Borg, they are turned into puppets that have no control over their own bodies. If I was turned into a zombie, then I would not witness the horrors of committed by my animated corpse since I would be dead. If I was turned into a Borg, then I would experience everything my body committed as a Borg. Destroying the Free Will of countless beings, assimilating my friends and family, and other atrocities that are part of a Borg's life.

And no biology is NOT a science

Damn, the one on the left's a little manly looking. No wonder Klingon's are so angry; there women are more manly than the men.

Don't worry about my friend I have mostly male toons but I do have one female Science Captain. I believe as long as your happy playing her who cares it doesn't matter what sex you are! Just have fun and if they get rude just put them on your ignore list.

I have a female toon (I'm a guy  ) and in all my years of playing MMO's (about 6 now I think) I've only had one instance of anyone hitting on me and thinking I was a girl.

So... idk what this guys talking about.

Speaking of though, Saurian women should not have TRIBBLE.

I have a Saurian female toon. Ask me where "Saurian Brandy" comes from.

    Go ahead, ask!

For those of us who grew up with TOS only one thing needs to be said. Uhura in Mirror Universe. As soon as MU uniforms were made available it guaranteed I would have a female character.
