You spend $100.00 bucks a week on Zen!? Goodness sakes. Well, you're probably not part of the market they are aiming for then since you're a big spender already.

Notice how its with certain payment methods only? PWE has struck a deal with those guys for special rates or something like that, and passes on a bonus to the Zen Buyer.

Pre-paid Cards are handled differently. If you look around , you can probably find those pre-paid cards for less than what it would cost to electronically buy the Zen.

you aint gonna like this ( and to be frank i really dont care at this point..) BUT...i hate you now (figuratively) for this... BUT as a user and a person who PAYS money to this game im saying my two cents worth.

i spent earlier today alot of cash to buy zen to aid my starbase and fleet.

Then you drop this on us unannounced hours later without evena hint you were gonna do it prior...

Amazing how you leave something important like that out of the regular channels... NO IM NOT PLEASED!

Again its more profit mongering and no clear cut fxes or benefits to your regular subscribers and userbase..(despite the continual outcry from them) ...

You dont fix the bugs that ppl tell you about (THE IMPORTANT ONES THAT IS) and continue to promote more type of trivial over expensive TRIBBLE in its place and more so on a whim of late like its a good thing (knowing full well ppl have been buying zen cos of the rediculously overpriced starbase construction projects...

HELL YOU CANT EVEN CONTACT STEAM TO FIX THEIR WALLE T PRICERS FOR THE UK!.. so whats the point of a 15% increase when ppl in the uk using steam get ripped off by the stupidity of season 6's lauch where the zen priices are wrong.. or if we buy through PWE's site we get taxed on the exchange rate from euros...

this promotion is POINTLESS unless you live in the USA folks (im not bashing USA ppl) but it really only benefits them.

more so personally im peeved it was not even announced hours after i just spent a shed load of cash on zen to convert to ec's and DIL to help further my fleet (all cos of the stupid BS of the requirements and pitiful payout of the fleet advancement missions.

No. If you buy 5000 Zen, you get a bous amount. He just bought twice.

My prefered electronic payment method is PayPal. PayPal takes 3-5 Business Days to process a transfer of funds order. Which means that if I started right now, the funds might be ready for me to use/buy Zen Wednesday....

ya, letting people know about an incoming sale might let you earn a bit extra as people will be prepared. ie, they will have money to give you.

    Haha.

Wait for me! I'm feeling warm and fuzzy love for the game right now. Lemme buy some, too.

And it not working on prepaid cards? Well...you all know what that is, right?

    That is working as intended.

    Huzzah!

You know what? You're totally nuts. If they announced it earlier there would still be people who bought Zen a few hours earlier. The world does not revolve around you. Get a grip on yourself and stop being childish!

Its never in a Currency Seller's best interest to announce sales. This prompts EVERYBODY to wait a few days. A few days of NO REVENUE will look REALLY bad on the market and towards shareholders.

A currency sale will never be announced.

It used to be so much easier to purchase c-points using Cryptic. Since the switch I select visa and then get ticked off reading the multi-page agreement with Skrill moneybrokers, and just shake my head and go farm dilithium instead. Why can't we just use a damn credit card without going through Skrill?!?

So, until they get rid of the "future of moneybrokers", I'll just take my monthly lifetime stipend and farm. - A shame too, I used to purchase c-points frequently. The last thing I want is yet another 3rd party with too much personal information that can be TRIBBLE.

Sorry, but things were a lot better on the old Cryptic forums and with the c-store (IMO).

Perhaps you already have/had a balance of cash on PayPal? If you have to transfer money from another source to PayPal (even from a Bank Account depending on how you do it) it can take several days.

As to the OP, yeah, I just made a chunky purchase as well, the bonus points would have been nice.

Now that would be a cool benefit of being a Gold Member, getting some early warning on stuff like this... *Chuckle*...

darkstarkirian is correct. That is what happens with me. When they still had Cryptic points i used paypal (even though the account was empty) and it would take 5-8 business days to draw money from my bank account in the Pay Pal account, and then another few business days for Cryptic to draw money from the Pay Pal account....

I use Paypal the last couple of times for points. I got both the old C points and new Zen points. I had them both to spend in a matter of seconds. One time I just hit buy ship and I had it right then. So I never had a issue getting points right away.

    Guess its different for some?

This is good news. I will try to hit some up on these points. I can use some for a future bundle pack or new ship later.

maybe for americans it's quick. I'm in Toronto, canada. So maybe they need all that time to communicate and transfer stuff from outside the US of A.
But in this day and age it shouldn't be that way.

My dad buys Zen Points with paypal from Canada and it goes right through.

You need a verified credit card on your PayPal for instant transfers.

Cool, 'bout time we had another :P

    PayPal and PWE
    The amount of time it takes for your purchase to go through, depends on two things;
    1. How the money is entering your PayPal account;
      • Credit or Debit Card - The money is taken instantly.
      • Bank Accounts - The money has to be requested from your bank via Direct Debit or similar and can take several business days.
    2. If you have used PayPal to purchase from PWE before. The first time you purchase using PayPal the transaction can take several hours to process in addition to the time mentioned in point 1.

Well I just picked up 1000 zen via my steam wallet/paypal & didn't get any bonus.
Is this promo USA only or something?

I'm sure it said steam & paypal were valid for this promo?

There is some confusion over the advert as it isn't very clear. Let's clear it up.

If you have purchased Zen from Steam during the offer period, please post here what quantity you purchased and how much bonus Zen you received.

PLEASE DO NOT SUPPLY INFORMATION IF YOU HAVE NOT PURCHASED THROUGH STEAM OR WANT TO START POINTING AT THE ASTERISK IN THE ADVERT!

I've set up a thread in C-Store for the purpose of tracking purchases and the bonus rewards for Steam users: http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=366721

If you used Steam to purchase Zen and did or did not receive rewards, please enter it into the tracking thread so we can build a clearer picture. :)

I also think Steam allows the purchase of other denominations of Zen. Has anyone received a reward for those?
