Just out of curiosity, where are you putting your doffs? Max number is still 400 I believe. Air lock? Exchange? I certainly don't have enough room to acquire even 100 doffs.

I am doing this from my mobile phone so I still don't have the numbers added yet(%) but the reason WHY/WHAT cryptic is doing dawned on me as I was going out:

(to answer your question - 1/3 tranfered 8 alts 1/3 dismissed for dilth 1/3 exchange)

Its clear this is what Cryptic is doing: Each assignment takes 2 sub-sets of doffs - example for 1000xp Tier 2 tac - (30 Tac doffs/30 Security doffs) - so they are providing lots of 1 side _Tac - and few of the other

Same with Eng assignemnt -they provide lots of Ops but few engineers and Sci assignments - lots of Med and Few Sci doffs

So their "Random" is to provide lots of 1 of the 2 componets to an assignment and few of the other to slow progress - make it harder/cost more etc

This can be the only conclusion that I can think of - still it is better than the situation before - but they should not give the false info that the doff you get is completely random!

Agreed, it isnt random at all.... i am getting a ton warfare specialists, etc....no sensor doff's.

Question: what do sensor doffs do that makes them worth the insane price that they go for on the exchange?
    When in doubt, (hehe) c4!

OK all 1000 added up - this is the RANDOM that you get from the doff purchase at your Starbase(of course there is nothing random about it as Cryptic claims)

    297 Tactical Doffs = 29.7% chance

38 Security Doffs = 3.8% chance - You have less than a 4% chance getting security doff!!

    73 Engineering doffs = 7.3%

    271 Operational doffs = 20.4%

    90 Science doffs = 9%

    231 Medical Doffs = 23.1%

So the conclusion is while better than when the doffs were not availible Cryptic is only providing a real chance at 1 part of the 2 part assigmnet doffs needed

Example - tier 3 Military project for 1000xp requires 60 Tactical and 60 Security - they have made tactical easy to get and security very hard

Same applies for the other 2 Science and Engeneering

See me new thread later on the cost/opportunity cost of building a starbase in EC

For 1 - 1000 xp tier 3 military project requires 20 million EC!!

Well this thread might have had some effect!

If the OP or anyone else want to repeat the experiment post change, I can do some more graphs!

Next, please make these doffs contributable to starbase projects. . . just admit you screwed up here Cryptic. None of this "Working as intended" TRIBBLE.

Oh yeah I will be definitely doing the experiment again if they make those doffs completely useless(ie not contributable to starbase projects and no dilth/cxp) or should I say "working as intended"

As of last night people on Tribble were also saying that the Fleet DOFFs couldn't be used on missions either, and were tradable on the exchange with no way to tell them apart from the non-broken DOFFs. Not good. Not good at all.

    Honestly, nothing that special.

But the white Sensor DOFFs are required however for a lower tier mission (science I think), and you HAVE to have 30 of them for it.
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.
I must admit, respect points to Trendy for laying down the law like that.
