Lead Content Designer Scott "Goatshark" Shicoff shares details about the fourth Starbase Featured Project in this entry of the Season 6 News Dev Blog series.
The more of these we get, the less worth while they become. Is the chess playable? That would make this project worth while but I'm guessing it's just like the useless poker tables on our ship interior lounges.
Nice. Is the bar part of the update or is that part of the bartender project? We haven't completed that yet.
Nope, Bartender project is worthless. It is identical to your starship Bartender and has no graphical updates. That is purely from this (likely) 200K Dilithium Project
the fed project seems rather poor compaired to the klingon project tbh , but thats just my opinion
Actually, I was thinking exactly the opposite. At least with the Fed Project I could immediately see what was added (granted, I don't visit the KDF starbase as often)

Agreed here. If you ask me, too much for too little. STO needs, we as players need, less fluff and more stuf (a.k.a. content). I don't know about the rest of the player base, but I'm tired of seeing endless amounts of fluff added with no actual story-based content. The invasion stuff is nice at first, but there is no real story to it and it gets really old really fast.
200K of dilithium is too much for a cosmetic upgrade. 50K would be better.
After the last round of "upgrades," I feel that eve 50K is too much. I mean, seriously, 200K in DL for Tribbles that are instanced for every person? No two people see the same tribble, and even those with lower end settings can't see them. Remind me of the motive behind these past the Tribbles 'n' Targs one?
I'm so over Starbase Featured Projects and Fleet Starbase in general. It's just another attempt to get players to buy Zen, as there is no way to get the Dilithium to do all the projects with a 8,000 cap. Have you seen how the exchange price for Dilithium is falling, by the end of the year it will be 25 Dilithium to 1 Zen. Looks like a win for someone, just not the players again.

I earn over 17,000 Dilithium every day just playing 2-2.5 hours a day. My average month is somewhere between 500,000 and 600,000 Dilithium. All of it gets Refined and converted to Zen. I haven't purchased any CPs/Zen in 7 months. I currently have over 15,000 Zen on my account and have purchased every Fed ship and uniform released into the game. If Cryptic's only goal was to make players buy Zen none of that would be possible for me.
If someone wants the Feature Project, great! Get it; but it's certainly not required. Ultimately it's just a way for large Fleets to let all their members earn some FCs. When you have a Fleet with 200+ people in it the small projects can fill up quickly, so the Feature Projects are a way for everyone to contribute.
And what is 200,000 Dilithium, anyway? In a Fleet of 10 people that's 20,000 each. Even if you only do 8,000 Dilithium per say it only takes 2.5 days to get to 20,000. So in 3 days your 10-person Fleet can have the project done. Wow! You can accomplish in 3 days what they give you 2 weeks to do.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

From my point of view 25 dilithium for 1 Zen is a fantastic thing, and I'm a player so it's a win. Should I remind you that for a long time Zen was heavily overpriced? Now it might be slightly underpriced. It's a free market and a normal thing it's oscillating.
And I thought tribbles and targs were a poor joke...
Cryptic should really consider lowering the price of these useless decorations by half. I imagine it would be better to encourage more fleets to start a cheaper project, rather than discouraging them from even starting the projects to begin with, because of how expensive they are...
KDF also seem like an afterthought. I don't even know what this particular project is - two monitors? Is that it? What happened to the bar decorations so often promoted before Season 6 launch? Will we be gettin them anytime soon(tm)?
Reluctantly my fleet started the Tribbles and Targs, for some few tribble fans that were willing to contribute. This time though... no... we'd rather save our dilithium for other projects. After Tier 2 they get pretty expensive anyways.

It makes perfect sense. Players play so they would win. Not doing the special project, you lose an opportunity. Lose being the magic word. Noone want's to lose. Hence, you fork out the 200k dilithium. Because you are afraid of becoming a loser. This is just a trait we have today, omg, I don't wnat to lose anything. I am entitled to have all, and always win ! And in our desperate search for permawin, we became losers.
Whatever we deny or embrace, we belong togheter./ Pat Benatar
Cryptic is proud of customization options which players have with their characters, even Mr. Sthal spoke about it in Ask Cryptic or State of Game. Space stations were have to be same, unique for every Fleet, right now I'm all most sure that all stations look exactly the same.
Instead those so called spacial projects which mostly are joke you should give Fleet leaders or any other person with correct fleet permission to use foundry and design which elements should be put in actual interior. Depending on which elements were used in project game system will calculate cost for Fleet project.
For example I'd like to put three ship models on wall in Ops and a chair under them. Each model have base cost: 2500 GPL, 50 dilithium and 2 Self sealing steambolts and chair require 50 Provisions. So Fleet must pay 7500 GPL, 150 dilithium, 6 Self sealing steambolts and 50 Provisions to activated new project for furniture.
This will make each Starbase unique, not that "special projects" same for every Fleet.

Starfleet SBs get an enhanced bar? Anything else? Hard to tell form the screen shot.
Thanks.
Featured projects are separate.
*golfclap*
I can still move.
I can still fight.
I will never give up!

Why should they actually tell you what you will get? Then you may not do the project.
I agree. Though that seems to be par for the course for the whole Fleet Holdings system
Same ... We are waiting for the roaring fire and the Mugato skin rug.

Actual 3D chess feature would be a nice touch

God, lvl 60 CW. 17k.
Sorry, but like the Tribbles and Targs, I'll just skip over the Tables and Displays.

You won't get the fleet provision for it than, if your fleet leaders have any mind.
