S6 has been a blessing for us. We are having a blast and wanted to share our recent fleet event with you all. There can be a break from the project grind to just have some fun!

Finally a post that's not a grating whine about how awful everything is.

That's awesome that it's working out for you.
I personally like a lot of the season six stuff, so it's nice seeing more positivity. I do wish there had been more added since I'm not in a fleet anymore, but at least I can still go shoot Tholians.
I really hope that this is where fleets head toward in the future, the big friendly fleets winning everyone's hearts, and the mean elitist ones collapse under their own elitism. I just hope they don't take a lot of players with them as they go....

I see where you're coming from but I don't see Starbases making Fleets worse. On the contrary the ability to contribute to grand projects at one's own pace, and reap the rewards in time, should pull people together like what it did for OP's Fleet.
For my case I -DID- want to create a sort of exclusive organization (which may come off as "elitist" in your book.. in a "newbies only" way) with starbase construction as a leisure side project that no one is obliged to spend anything on.
Only the few founders are starbase contributors and the rest of the new guys just enjoy their Fleet gear and support unit spam in Marks events.
The concept of starbase construction can mean a lot of things and its up to the respective guilds' playstyle to make full use of them. One can go for big and grand with economy of scale, or keep it small and practical, it's up to the individual's preference and guild objectives, really.
STF Flight Instructor since Early 2012. Newbies are the reason why STO lives and breathes today. Do not discriminate.

Starbase projects are why I left my fleet. I won't go into the details, but the starbases are breaking up some fleets. They shouldn't be a contributing factor, but they are.
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.
I must admit, respect points to Trendy for laying down the law like that.
yea...last night got a little insane around the starbase
87 ships
one starbase :P
a space shark (yea....dont ask)
and a midget fleet officer hiding in engineering
it was a great night and well worth staying up to 2am GMT knowing i would be in work today
access denied doesn't make starbases for anyone else but if we did it would be full of tribbles trapped between transport enhancers, populated by midget officers with obscenely oversized weapons offering door prizes while hiding under consoles and have a fleet guarding it so large that it makes the entire finale of DS9 look small and unprepared.

I totally don't understand this. Is there some kind of deadline that you have to get your credits in before, else you don't get to buy anything?
And back on topic, awesome screenies!
How do people get fleet credits when you have maxed out tiers? Are there projects that will still run when you have a maxed SB? We are a little more then halfway though and there are MANY people who have yet had a chance to donate. I would even say more than half the fleet or more have less than 5k. We have people leaving everyday because of it. So if you need 200,000 fleet credits just to buy a ship and more to buy other items, how does one get fleet credits in a big fleet?

Keep in mind that it's going to take a minimum of 7 months to get a maxed-out base - assuming you do projects 24/7. A lot can be added to the game between now and then, and thus a lot more ways to earn FCs even after the base is at T5.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

Pardon of course, OP, but...you guys are Access Denied...then...shouldn't you technically be, y'know, denying access? :P:rolleyes:
Still, I'm glad to see this of course. Good to know that things can be nice from all this new stuff.

i may just make that my sig....
3-4 regular players . . . that's it.
Tier 1 and the resource demands of projects are already starting to look like the work of weeks or months.
Shame its so biased towards large fleets.
I can still move.
I can still fight.
I will never give up!
Here, I'll whine some for you.
We should be able to go into first person view!
Because some of those shots would be more awesomer in first person. :P
Thanks for sharing!

Glad to see S6 and the star base project bringing a fleet together in happy times!
The screenshots were terrific.
I agree with others, nice to see some positive posting for a change.
One sugestion if I may...
Next event, hire a traffic cop for all those starships trying to dock.
three things regarding AD and the Oddy class
#1. The four variants offer massive adaptability and durability for all types of play.
#2. It is the current Starfleet flagship.
#3. Its big and could be picked out in a crowd of 85 other ships in the fleet pic.
