    That was an amazing landing. I was practically holding my breathe with those guys when waiting for confirmation.

    Those pictures are incredable, and to see them shown live and cleared up so fast was just amazing. Still watching the live feed now.

    It's good to see that one of the last tools from the former version of NASA was a great success! Lets hope this pushes more NASA growth to what it once was and beyond. :)

    Also...someone getting a talking to later today I reckon for the mega loud "HOLY ****!!!" haha.

    Actually it was based off of "past" rovers. Haha we stil have until 2014 for when Transformers 3 occurs (seeing that Sam was out of at least 4 years of college).

    I no it was and my 350+ transformer figures no it too

    Just looked at the tech video posted on Gizmodo.

    This lander looks like something from Starship Troopers! The complexity is Gundam-like, even.

    Mankind has come a long way from Apollo capsules in barely half a century.

    I'm taking bets on the first thing of interest it will find;

    1) Martians

    2) A half buried Shadow vessel

    3) Transformers

    4) Prothean tech

    5) John Carter

    6) Dr. Manhattan

    7) Elvis

    If you have not already, check out this! http://eyes.nasa.gov/ Make sure to turn off "LIVE" mode and check out the virtual video from 10:20-10:31 PM PDT. WOW! JPL did an amazing job with that web app.

    Cheers,

    Brandon =/\=

    Now all we need is some nice Mars foundry ground map requiring us to wear an EV suit :)

    Im not surprised STO has decided to not show any fanfair over this historic event. Even when one consideres what this means and the steps mankind takes for space exploration. Even China said good game NASA....

    Wil Wheaton is narrating a special feature on Curiosity on that NASA Livestream, like, RIGHT NOW.

    EDIT: Both William Shatner and Wheaton have been asked to narrate two versions of the same video.

    Despite it's significance. If will Wheaton was narrating, i'd have to keep saying "Shut up Wesley"

    Sure, Wesley sucked, but old Willy is a good guy. I read his tumblr. ;)
