No Way Am I Paying For Items I Already Own Or Unlocked Again!!!!

clannmacclannmac Member Posts: 279 Arc User
OK, THIS is what I was afraid of!! I have purchased a larger number of ships and other items through the 'C' store over the past year, all of which then showed as "purchased" or "unlocked" and available to ALL of my characters.

TODAY, after the switch to Zen, I have to BUY anything and everything I already paid for AGAIN for characters of mine who didn't already have said items!!

No way in HELL am I giving you MORE money for things that were supposed to be a ONE-time buy or unlock!!!

If I missed a memo somewhere, let me know where it is, and I'll debate it with you. If not, I am calling the BS here!!!

I have a better idea. Why not open up a support ticket and let them know what purchases you;re missing?

The thing is, I glanced at the store from the site.

Same thing, it registered the two ship's I've bought as having to be purchased. I'll check ingame whenever I feel like actually playing it.

In game I had a hiccup with a character I created today, but after logging out, and logging back in I was able to see all my unlocks and claim the one I wanted just fine.

Yep; already done. I am calmer now, ha! This was all happening at the same time I couldn't log in, then getting booted, THEN being queued...probably should have taken some deep breaths first...:o

It seems like PWE had (has?) no idea how much larger this game is than their others and the amount of interest Season 6 appears to have generated. It sounds like servers got hammered today, and little hiccups like this are likely side effects.

good luck with the support ticket, the same thing happened to me and i opened up a second one and am going to have to report them to the bbb because of their negligence. They are telling me i didn't purchase any of the things i purchased or in one instance i purchased a ship when it was EC only, the only problem with their theory is the ship didn't come with a console then and i have the console on one of my toons. It's high time they did something about these database errors and stop telling everyone they didn't purchase something when they know darned well we did.

I am missing two of my ships and support said I must have bought them with energy credits, because they had no record of it. I'm pretty sure you could never buy ships with energy credits, that you needed fleet marks or one of the other currencies. I opened a new ticket as they didn't let me reply. This is very frustrating.

If you bought a T3 Excelsior or Nebula then yes, you bought them with ECs. That was the only way you could buy them when they were introduced into the game - and they were EC purchases per character, not per account.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

    My Reply

I didn't. I bought the Long Range Science Vessal Retrofit (Voyager) and the Tactical Escort Retrofit (Defiant) with Cryptic Points. When I buy a ship, I want all of my characters to have access to it and I wanted to support the game. Two of my characters still have them in their inventories, but no one else can access them.

The T3 Excelisor and Nebula aren't included in account wide unlocks i think but the rest are, they're under ships/federation ships in the c-store

Yes, I know. When I went there was when I realized they wanted me to repurchase the Long Range Science Vessal Retrofit and the Tactical Escort Retrofit.

You don't need to. Look up your credit card statements of when those purchases were made and submit a claim.

You will either get your cash back or your items. At that point PWE is going to be fighting the credit card company not insignificant little you. There is a 30 day time limit for the company to get it right, prove beyond a doubt that you are wrong or else the CC company will give the money back to you and charge it to the company as a penalty.

my understanding is that there are 'two' t3 excelsiors and t3 nebulas

Essentially there is the EC variety that was pre-FTP; those are character unlock

There is the Cpoint/Zen variety post-ftp; these are account unlock.

I have the Cpoint/Zen ones and can verify that they are in fact account unlocks.

Silly question though, i've hit this wall a few times... do you have open ship slots? It won't let you claim a ship even though it shows purchased if you don't have any free...

Also, doubt this matters here given the ships in question, but regarding anything purchased via bundles (in my case the NX) it shows i have to purchase it again whenever i'm at the ship vendor. I have to actually go into the CStore/Zen Store, click on the bundle itself and click 'claim' or whatever. As long as i have an open ship slot it will pop up in there while bypassing the ship vendor all together.

Maybe try to claim your ship via the store rather than vendor...again might not be the case but i'd figure i'd throw out the idea...

It's a wonderful thing to pass off buyer's remorse as fraud and then the rest of us get to enjoy the merchant handing off the losses to us in price increases, yay.
