I have noticed for a while now that posted items in the exchange are not displaying. I even tested it by putting certain high priced items on for almost nothing, and they are still there. These bugs are getting annoying!
Is it the new season update that screwed everything up?
Items posted in the exchange appear just fine so long as you are using a search category button other than "All".
Cryptic has almost no software quality control, but that's not an excuse for players to be lazy on how they use the exchange. There are many options for narrowing your exchange searches. Use them. Granted, the All button is seriously messed up, but if you learn how to properly use the exchange you'll experience fewer problems.
Strange that, as i posted a tholian lock box for 1000 ec, and the lowest tholian lock box was gong for 40,000. So what your telling me is players would rather pay more for tholian lock boxes than my 1k bargains??? This was the test i did, as i know a lot of people are snapping them up, it was the obvoius choice to test, and guess what, it still doesnt appear no matter how i use the exchange.
Your debate on using the exchange properly is very invalid. This is a bug, a major one, and it needs to be sorted. How many other players does this affect?
Tholian Equipment Requisition boxes are in the Reward Packs search category. Cheapest is 9k for a standard and 37.5k for an advanced. My point about learning to use the exchange very much applies.
We've had this bug now for a couple of months now. (5 or 6?) Previously you had to pick the rarity as well as the category of an item to see an up to date list while a general search would drop off both the newer items within the last few minutes as well as anything listed in the past after a few days.
Now you have to pick the rarity as well as the category.
As to how many players, drop exchange into the forum search and find out.
The bug with the exchange has been acting up on and off for a while now. Earlier today, I noticed it was working fine. I went back ten minutes later to post some contraband and suddenly it's wonky again.
I don't understand how we've had numerous patches and it still hasn't been fixed.
I too have this problem, none of the items I post appear with the identical items already posted on the Exchange. At first I thought this may just be me not being able to view my own items, but I had a friend confirm the problem with a seperate search. So annoying to have items to sell and no way to sell them other than to stand on a corner in the First City shouting out ''Who wants it''.

My exchange too is not showing my items. I have been giving items to a friend to sell and her exchange seems to be working just fine. I guess it only effects certain people.
The Exchange search algorithm operates by starting at the oldest items and working forward until items are found or the search hits a preset timeout cutoff. This creates a problem if searches are too broad in scope as the search will time out before it finds recently-posted items. Which is why you should only search by specifying the item's category (such as "Personal Devices") rather than "All".
The Exchange is working as designed. It's just not working as players expect it to, and the code logic is TRIBBLE-backwards, as it should search starting with most-recent first. Why most recent? Because players using the exchange want to see the lowest prices, which are almost always the most recent entries. No one cares about items posted a week ago if there are cheaper more recent ones. Cryptic could relatively easily solve most of the exchange problem by simply reversing the search direction. But I suppose common sense is too much to expect from them.
If players insist on using "All" (which is lazy on their part), then they need to understand how the exchange works and narrow the scope of what the search must weed through. Which means giving at least a partial name match and always specifying rarity. I have no problems finding any item that I wish to find, including items that I have just posted and that have no category of their own. People just need to learn how to properly use the Exchange as it is, despite how badly it has been coded. Screaming at Cryptic, demanding that they fix the Exchange, is pretty much a waste of time, as it has been "broken" for a very long time and Cryptic shows little interest in fixing it properly.

Great job they're doing.
Could read the thread that you;re posting in.
Tribble (zin) - None on market at time
Tribble (har) - 4 others on market
Searching ... Not Visable
- Exact Name
- Rarity
- Personal Devices
Searching ... Visable
- Exact Name and Personal Devices
- Exact Name and Personal Devices and Rarity
As a minimum level of functionality it should appear under EXACT NAME search.
FIX IT!
