I want to see an active GPL economy. More than just ship holoemitters. Give us some good useful items from a GPL vendor. I am not asking for high end gear here, just useful.
More features for the Foundry, better rewards; support for new kinds of object behaviors
Commendation awards for mission objectives (add to older missions as well)
Added perks for Commendation categories that are missing them (Science, Exploration, Espionage, Colonization, Trade, Development, Recruitment).
Along these lines, perhaps Trade tiers could open up Mail, Bank, and Exchange access from ship interiors?
CXP to FM conversion, sooner rather than later
Revamped crafting, revamped traits
Expanded/revamped exploration system

one thing i would like to see in sto is this verification code security measure removed, i use a machine that someone else uses (former STO player) and he refuses to allow me to use it beyond the public computer so the account is not tied down to that IP address, so i have to keep my email box open just to access the game from my own account while constantly typing in activation codes. it seems a little excessive to say the least.
How about a gpl->lobi conversion? Something like 100 to 1 (gpl to lobi). That would definately imrove the gpl economy. Or the ferengi set could be posted for like 800K to 1 mil gpl per piece.
When in doubt, (hehe) c4!

"I'd like to live just long enough to be there when they cut off your head and stick it on a pike as a warning to the next ten generations that some favors come with too high a price. I want to look up into your lifeless eyes and wave like this. [waggles fingers]
Can you and your associates arrange that for me, Mr. Morden?"
Since GPL is for social items only, why not add some social items there?
I just want to see a use for gpl. The lobi was just a sugestion. Maybe a permanent holoemitter for some super high price (like 500K+). That would be nice, especially if they used all the current holo emmiters.

A transfer ship command for _x_ amount of minutes. I know you can test out ships on tribble but I think it would be cool to invite friends into game and let them test out your fully equipped and stocked dreadnaught (or whatever you happen to fly) and let them blast some bad guys. Think alot more players would want to play if they could see just how damaging top teir ships can be.
I'd like to see the KDF faction properley fleshed out first and foremost, and rather than just copy and paste fed missions, proper Klingon style and content type. More ships for the Klingons would be nice.
I'd also like to see fleet marks for stf's like the borg missions as I'm still grinding those for the MACO gear and they are fun to do as well. PVP needs some attention also, tutorial and tactics missions would be good to ease players into PVP as when I first tried it I found only frustration. Additionally tutorial missions to ease players into the main STF's would be good too.
More daily dilithium paying missions with at least some random variety injected into them.
And finally, a gutted out shell of a constitution (or any fed ship) pet that I can drag around as a trophy behind my vorcha would be nice
Each time one of these threads surfaces, I like throwing my support behind:
- Bundle packs that include a ship interior
- Interior ship customization
People love to be able to create their own home in the universe and show it off to others. The popularity of player housing in other MMOs is a testament to this. In terms of monetization, decor options could potentially be sold in the Z-store. I think this has the potential to be wildly successful, and worth the time investment in terms of development.
Also, the inclusion of a mini-game in ship interiors, such as poker or tri-dimensional chess would give people something to do while waiting for PvE or PvP queues to launch, and brining people into ship interiors with these features would really promote the sales of decorative interior assets from the Z-store.
Really, I'd just love to see these features in game!
Fantastic post. I completely agree on everything and why Cryptic doesnt see this as a good investment opportunity I will never understand.
I guess most of my suggestions are cosmetic, and some are probably downright impractical.
1. More customisability for your ship; exterior and interior, including corridors, engineering, quarters (I want a painting of MY ship, not some random Akira).
2. I had a thought just now: make the replicators just like they were on the real show. i.e. give them a sample of something and allow you to make copies of it. For instance, normally, to get a full set of polarised tetryons, etc, you'd have to play The New Link six / eight times; how about you're able to replicate it, but at cost (50% mark up on energy credit cost? Dilithium?).
3. The retrofit beam banks on the C-store Constituition are DUAL banks, as far as I can see. Therefore, why do they only scale as far as a typical beam array?
4. Halve the cost of all C-store items.
5. I'll throw my hat in on this one: Romulan faction, or playable Warbirds.
6. More diplomacy. I'm sick of wandering into Delta Volanis to battle the Widrab or whomever it is that day. Give me a chance to work something out with them. These days, I tend to just warp out of those missions.
7. Discussed this one on DS9 earlier today. If someone tries to leave an STF, have their character simply respawn. (The other option put forth was a week-long ban, which even I think is too much.)
8. I want Spiral Waves, but I do not want a Galor. Make them available, plus options for Dual Beam Bank, Cannon, etc, in Dilithium store.
9. Lockbox ships to be made available in C-store. Get rid of lockboxes or make them better (the Tholian one is a step in the right direction, but still too costly).
10. Get back to me on that bug for Hunting the Hunters. It's been two months. :-P
6. More diplomacy. I'm sick of wandering into Delta Volanis to battle the Widrab or whomever it is that day. Give me a chance to work something out with them.
I wholeheartedly agree with this, but I do get that adding diplomacy options to random missions might be a bit more than Cryptic's able to tackle at the moment, if ever.
What I'd really like is the ability to make hostile opponents surrender in Foundry missions, so that there's a real choice between combat and a non-combat resolution. Right now there's no good way to turn a hostile into a non-combatant or vice versa.

There is already this type of mechanic in the game. Two examples are:
1) Rescue Deferi Captives. On the Fed side you have three options to chose from.
A: Destroy the Breen
B: Pay the Breen 1,000 GPL
C: Fire a deflector pulse that blind their sensors so you can transport the Deferi to safety
2) The Starbase Incursion mission. In the first stage, you search for Klingon saboteurs. When you engage them, some times they surrender. You can then either transport them to the Brig or continue to shoot them.
A new faction - the independent trader. Be Harvey Mudd!
And I second the crew-quarters on your starbase idea. With room for trophies and a lot of customization maybe, and without a lock on the door - people like to show off, and people like to go see other people show off. At least in games. Maybe they could sell crew quarter locations at Earth Spacedock, DS9, etc., in the Z-Store. Look, a new way to make money!
How about the ability to wear your Commendation rank on your uniforms. My main is an Ambassador and I would love to wear the Ambassador Rank on his uniform.
Also expand the Liberated Borg options for the Lifetime members. Allow the ability to use the Liberated Borg traits and costume options on ANY race you have available during character creation. My main KDF is a Gorn and I would love for him to be a Liberated Borg.
I could go on and on, but in the past two and half years the development of this game has been moving farther and farther from providing an enjoyable game experience to many. Things that were should haves for a base MMO have languished in favor of overtly heavy monitization of trinkets and now systems. I understand they have to make money, but such pervasive monitization is unbecoming. The single best system in game is the DOFF system. Second would be the Fleet System but mainly for how it works and how parts of it look.
Here is what I would like to see (most of them are not trinkets, missions, but rather systems to give a diversity of playing options):
Deep and immersive crafting system
Deep and immersive exploration system
Deep and immersive PvP options
Multiple completed player factions
Capitalization of the Foundry
Deep, Immersive, Diverse, and Replayable end-game content systems
1. More customisability for your ship; exterior and interior, including corridors, engineering, quarters (I want a painting of MY ship, not some random Akira).

great idea, but they would have to be like your bridge, private unless invite

Not just aboard ship, either. My idea for poker is that it could be played in at least three different settings:
Aboard your ship, against invited guests or even BOffs for ECs
Aboard your fleet starbase, against fleet-mates for FCs
At social hubs (like DS9 or Drozana, but not factional locations like Spacedock or the First City) vs. the general STO population for GPL or dilithium; they could even stage tournaments there. The Galactic Series of Poker, anyone?
As for specific poker games, I'd include any variant that was played in canon Trek (5-card stud is the only one that comes to mind, but I'm sure there were others) plus Texas hold'em (which isn't anywhere in Trek canon IIRC, but is by far the most familiar version to most gamers).

besides , feds have enough carriers now , leave the frigate launching to the klingons

that will never happen im afraid , since it'd destroy the point of dilithium into cpoints / zen

Oh, sorry. Wrong franchise... similar question.
First of all, I Would Like much more content, like the 5-story Arcs, those defined STO real good !
Second I Want all the Lock Boxes removed from STO, better expand the Z-Store !
that's all Cryptic, and everything will be fine !
