I think because they are basically just re-skins with a few BOFF and Console changes and also that they aren't the top rewards for gambling with the lock boxes. Personally I prefer the Mirror ships to the Tholian ships, Tholian ships have no place in Starfleet or the KDF, goes against the entire feel of the Tholian species established in the series and books.
Support the Game by Supporting the KDF, equality and uniqueness for all factions!
Why is there no love for the Mirror Universe Battle cruiser?
Probably a Supply-demand kinda thing, more people are Fed players, more fed ships,
Plus if i remember looking at the Vorcha stats it wasn't anything special compared to the fed cruisers

Could not agree more. How on earth would a ferengi be selling Tholian Carriers for lobi crystals?

I got mine, still in box. Its the same ship as the reg Battlecruiser, added power to all systems plus the +10. The Boff layout is good, plays like a reg beam boat from the fed side . Its good but im still in love with the Gumba !!! I just dont see me on it, so ill keep it boxed up for a while.
As a Gorn Engineer, i can definitely see that there being potential for a Fantastic Healer Build, which is why when i get home from work im gonna be snapping one up as quick as i can!!

Two of the Tholian ships are very popular yet the Fed and KDF Mirror Universe ships are going very cheaply.
Maybe it's too many being won.
I'm pretty sure the Fed ships are so cheap because it's essentially the BOFF layout of the other T5 cruiser on the same Hull. You could have 2 Sovereigns but one would be a Star Cruiser BOFF layout.
My Sci want the KDF MU ship but.
I was once DKnight1000, apparently I had taken my own name so now I'm DKnight0001. If I ask you a question it is not an insult but a genuine attempt to understand why. When I insult you I won't be discreet about it, I will be precise and to the point stupid.
Can alternate parts and skins (like the Vor'Kang) be used with the MU Battlecruiser, or it stuck with that yellow paint job?
Yes and yes
It's great finally being able to fly around in the Vor'Kang at end game! Great looking skin.
Supply and demand, yeah, likely less KDF players so less supply right there and when they do get it will likely keep it as it's one of the few ships KDF can get.
I got one in a box and opened it straight away just so I could have a new ship. If I get another it'll go on the exchange.
It's pretty good actually, only 36k hull though (I'm used to the heavier cruisers/ships) but the base 10 turn rate makes it nice and nimble. And since I'm specced 6 into thrusters to get my bigger ships turning, this thing has a base turn of 18! And with the Omega set gets it to 20! A cruiser... with a turn rate of 20... with no RCS
Has the same boff layout as the fed prime star cruiser (which I like as a boff layout, good mix for tanking).
With the nimblness and speed bonus (+10 engine power) I make good use of EWP and theta. Lay down some EWP, come about and overlay theta, come about and overlay EWP again whilst dropping aceton assimilator right in the middle of it all. mwahaha!
I l ove the mirror ship on my science kdf officer. I am more of a healer now on him, but I love it tons more then my cruiser, I actually play on KDF more. Just need to finish winding out some kinks, but i like it.
The Mirror ships are cheap on the exchange because their drop rate is actually pretty high. I got two in the first ten boxes I opened; the overall chance of getting one seems to be around 7.5% (six Mirror ships in 80 boxes opened).
The MU Battlecruiser is alright, but I still prefer the standard Vor'Cha Refit.
The MU version due to the leaning towards Science instead of Tactical is a tad bit more survivable. But it still handles just wonderfully the same as the normal ship.
Not bad if you end up with this ship and you didn't want to fork out the 120k dil for the regular version.

I turned one over to my Science captain and presently fly it over the Voq.

I unpacked and took the MU Battlecruiser for a test drive last night.
I liked the ship. Turn rate was good. DPS was pretty good with 3 tac consoles and +15 weapon power. Healing very good with the BO layout options.
However, at the end of a handful of Fleet missions and STFs, I switched back to running the D'Kora, mainly because I felt the D'kora offers a little better platform for switching between DPS and healing with the change of a few BOs, swapping around some set pieces and dropping in/out of battle mode.
There weren't too many visual customization options, although the MU skin type was interesting. It made me wish there was a way to disable the visual affect of running certain shields, so you could get the benefit but keep the look of the orignal ship.
I was a little put off by the 1200 zen cost of the alternate skin for the MU cruiser. I would have probably plunked down 400 zen without thinking about it, instead I skipped the skin.
If there was an easier, quicker way to switch between ships, I'd definitely consider having the MU Battlecruiser set up for specific duties.

Star Trek: Online - Now with 100% more dinosaurs!!
Its a nerfed Vorcha basically. It has one less ensign tac station and gets an extra ensign sci station instead. The Vorcha is one of the few cruisers that can effectively use dual heavy cannons, but is still short on tac skills, and is a little more squishy then a Negvar or Sovereign. With the regular Vorcha layout you can run cannon rapid fire 1 and still have room for 2 tac teams, or 1 tac team and a torp skill. The mirror Vorcha just doesn't pack as much punch for a offensive oriented cruiser.
Let me say that yes you can use DHCs or just duals. Im starting to lean towards duals only because on the ships without the LTcmdr tactical station you don't really have the room for decent cannon abilities. The Bortas does, the others do not. So for the lower tac stations torpedo spread wins.
I've just gotten the fleet D-7 its great I love it. So very fast. Fleet Vorcha is going to be so good can't wait to get that one and load up some cannons on it too!

Of course a Lockbox Ship is better. Cryptic had no idea what game balance meant when putting out most of those ships.

I must say, IMHO, it still comes down to good Captain versus poor Captain. Even though I feel I have a very strong couple of PvE D'Kora builds, I have a bit more trouble in a PvP.

I really envy you folks with larger fleet populations. Still working toward tier 1 here.

All cloaks should be canon.
The M.U. Vorcha has only one Tactical BOff station versus the two of the Retrofit Vorcha. Sacrifices DPS for healing, pretty much.
Still waiting to be able to use forum titles

You can do regular Vor'cha skin. You can also use Vor'kang and Tor'kaht if you already have access to those skins.
