Any chance of acquiring these through in-game means, instead of huge grinds and cash?

So let me get this straight: you have to pay as much cash to buy these modules as you would for a regular C-store ship, but the ships you get with these modules are only for 1 character? What a ripoff.

Can't see anyone grinding and paying for a ship that is bound to 1 character tbh cryptic. Think this will need to be revised to account wide unlocks otherwise no one will go for them unless they just dont know untill its too late.

There are 2 options I would accept:

    A) keep the modules at their current price and make fleet ships account wide, or

    B) keep fleet ships per character, but make the modules only cost $1 each.

There's on the exchange starting at I believe usually for 5-6m.

You'll have to pick the rarity and the category to see the updated list. Rare and data samples I believe.

    Hope this helps

    Too rich for my blood.

I have a feeling they won't drop the price or require less to build a ship. What they will do is Buff the hell out of the ships you build in your fleet so more folks will want to build them.

Its the only way to increase demand and not admit the price for this item is too expensive.

The thing is: 4 modules = 2000 zen = an endgame VA-ship from the store like they were before, and the fleet ships are even better.

Also, if you take the painful effort to get the 200000 Fleet-credits for the retrofit-version or if you own a T5-variant of the fleet-vessel you want, you only need 1 module. However it still is 220000 Fleet-Credits till then.

To me, the principle is rather fair. I could get the Fleet-Intrepid for 1 module and 20000, and because I want the Fleet-Nova instead, I need to get the normal retrofit first to reduce the amount of required fleet-modules. If I want it fast, I need to consider the Fleet-Nova a Z-Store vessel. Fair enough, speeding up things sometimes hurts.

In principle the system seems fair with the 1 module for a T5 you already own, problem is theres only 2 T5 CStore ships that have a fleet variant, the defiant retro and the LSRV retro - Klingons are s*** out of luck ...........again!

I'm more than happy at the price, and the number of Fleet Ship Modules I need.

currently sitting on 48k Fleet Credits ( would have more but as a fleet officer, I hold back on what I donate so others can )

I own the Tactical Escort Retrofit from the C-Store

so I need just 1 Fleet Ship Module and come Tuesday when my LTS stipend hits I'll have just what I need for the Module(s).

for those clamoring for an in-game way to get the Modules with out having to buy Zen or doing the endless Dt grind. Please note, that they can be traded and thus (will be) are available on the exchange.

20 bucks for a Fleet Ship just probes how BONEHEADED Cryptic's thinking is atm.

Well from my understanding fleet ships just have improved stats. TBH, they are purely a
luxury as any endgame content can still be completed with free ships easily. At least I do with everything but maybe .... no win scenario. The Zen price is expensive, it should be half that for me to willingly purchase with hard earned cash.

PvP this will be a complete disaster, But thats beating a dead targ also.

It really does seem odd that people have to grind through getting fleet credit, and then pay money. It really should be one or the other - grind or pay.

That being said, I would really like to see the ships account bound. We still get just one, but we can move them to a specific character before we "unbox" them. I mean, we have those account banks, why not use them?

Yeah, I do just fine in PvE and missions (Foundry and otherwise) with my free RSV, especially now that I have it fully kitted out with the Reman set to compensate for the weak hull. I'm sure I could do even better in a free escort or cruiser, but I've got to admit it...I enjoy the extra challenge that comes with going up against the big dogs in my ship.

(PvP...I get destroyed mercilessly and it's of no interest to me. The Foundry and PvE are where the fun is.)

    Soon(tm)

I have no interest in grinding to get these ships, especially since all I seem to get out of it is a small hull increase and an extra console. Also I find it a bit insulting that I have to grind for Fleet Credits and then either grind for Dilithium to buy Zen, don't get me started on the exchange rate, or simply shell out money out right.

What happened to: Grind OR Pay?

    but wait! there's more!

the only way to get the alternative ship skins (that used to be sold in the C-store) is to grind and buy the fleet version of that ship.

I don't understand whats in their heads either. Why do the modules cost so much in the c-store... 100 zen to 200 zen seems more reasonable. People are likely to grind and buy more ships.... and people who aren't willing to pay 20$ for c-store ships, might actual buy a single character unlock ship or people who might buy for alts. Are they trying to discourage people from paying the money they can afford for this game...

what would be the point, i have 20 toons, and i hardly ever use give my toons the same ship twice, it would be boring if i gave all my characters the same ship. also you dont need the module you can just settle for the free ship which cost 200,000 fleet credits, or buy the module in the exchange....for such an evil company they sure do give you a lot of ways to get the ships and other stuff without spending real money. :P

The price is quite logical, however I'd cunsider making them ac****wide at least.

As Cryptic no longer read the forums and act on customer feedback, the simplest way to communicate our disatifaction would be to stop buying into the ripoff culture of this game. If profits drop, they might actually take some interest in what the playerbase wants.

I was really looking forward to starbases and working towards getting new ships for my characters. Then I found out how much just the Vor'cha fleet retro will cost and I promptly stopped working on my starbase before I even filled out the reqs for the first military project.

And once I realized how many fleet marks it will take just to do the projects and the only way of getting them is through yet more tedious end game content(grind) which I only enjoy in small spurts, it really killed any last ounce of interest I had in this release.

Cryptic: Make fleet marks available from ALL missions, fleet actions and STF's. It doesn't have to be a lot, but at least give me(us) some choice in how to get these.

And if you expect a lot of us to buy these ships, you really need to rethink your pricing. I understand you need to make money, but this is just blatant price gouging.

Points why i dont spend any cent to this :

    - if u not have the cstore variante, u have to buy a little better non account - non spezialconsol - non new model ship for 20 euro.... Seriously? = way too expensive

-If u have the cstore variante, only Federation get a discount. Klingons seems to be hated because :
#have no ships with discount option
#have a 15 euro destroyer (maybe 10 euro variant, i have both) and we need to pay 20 euro again for fleet version ?
#Feds get Galaxy , Defiant, Intrepid and Armitage with discount option but where is
the Fleet B'rel, Kar'fi or Guramba?

-some of the fleet ships only old Cstore Costumes they i already own... and no i dont get any discount for that

Final Result : not worth to buy

Solution : Sell Moduls for a ton of Fleetmarks

This would be nice, but they are operating in BONEHEAD mode, so it probably wont happen.

While I understand these are extremely expensive and not account unlocks, for people complaining a few things to consider:

    1. You don't need these ships to actually complete any content.
    2. Ship Modules can be purchased from the exchange using EC.
    3. The prices of these ships keeps Cstore ships relevant, otherwise the purchases people have already made would be almost completely obsolete.

i think because other accounts arn't always in the same fleet they want to stop ppl with a end tier fleet ship in a big fleet take it to a small fleet on another account which hasnt unlocked the ship or earned the points to do it
