Can you elaborate, please? I've completed it multiple times on several different characters just fine.

You go out to the middle of OPS*, just below the raised platform on the turbolift side near the console in the middle and call the cadets to formation.

They line up for inspection, you salute, and you proceed through each one, checking their uniform or posture for errors.

When you come across an error, you correct them by selecting whatever their issue was, then move on to the next cadet.

When you've finished inspecting and correcting all cadets, you dismiss them.

Done. Go back to the OOW to get your fleet marks.

*Does it seem to anyone else that OPS is really more of a Promenade?

It keeps giving me the option "Call Cadets to toe the line" and when I click it nothing happens.

As others have said, it works. In fact, I really liked this one, much more than searching for a lost PADD.

And I agree, it is more of a Promenade.

Are you talking about the Officer of the Watch Fleet Starbase Daily?

When you first talk to him, and accept the Daily, keep the dialog box open.

There should be a "What do I have to do" option. Click it, and he'll tell you the task du jour for your 5 fleet marks, such as check consoles on another deck of your fleet starbase, or leave the fleet starbase and do a brief war game simulation in space. I haven't seen the Call Cadets to Toe the Line mission yet.

    Why doesnt it work?

I had it fail miserably on TTS, where the cadets didn't show up. Had it work on Holo. I had assumed they'd fixed the issue. Guess it just randomly stuffs up though.

It doesn't work on the KDF side because one the cadets one ups you and shows up perfectly fine, which means you cannot complete it :).

I have done this a few times and broke once. It happened when another fleet member was doing it, and I entered the trigger area on the map and there was an audible *chirp. When the other player dismissed the cadets, so I couldn't summon them form my daily - breaking the chain. I just had to drop it and move on, loosing the daily and fleet credits.

Actually, once the prior group of cadets has returned to their posts, you can call a new group to toe the line. The map will only host one group at a time, but you can always perform inspection on any cadets that are visible, for instance if you and a fleet mate are both performing this mission at the same time.

this, tried every combo, cannot complete bug ticket submitted, also even after logging out and coming back the next day, i only get the exact same 5 cadets, with 4 completed and #5 being too good to be true.

same with the freighter list, on KDF i did not receive a list to check against, pressing continue in the dialogue didn't do anything, then when i call the freigher no matter what commodety i select it won't progress missoins since i hadn't seen the list on what to look for

KDF freighter list was totally blank and one cannot reasonably complete the mission. :(

I have done this daily a bunch of times, luckily without issue. My question though is why aren't any of the cadets ever "squared away"? What a rag-tag group!

    It's weird.

    My mission task list showed the following;
    X - Summon Cadets
    O - Salute Cadets
    ...
    ...

The Cadets were not there. The button "Salute Cadets" was present, but when I clicked it, my character performed the salute (to no one), there was a *Chirp and nothing.

Its as if it registered the Cadets, then they were dismissed by the other player before I could Salute them.

Well, for me the mission did NOT work several times by now. The cadets just won't show up... Even beaming off and back onto the starbase did not help. Had to cancel the mission eventually in every case...

My wife ran into this earlier today. Part of the mission worked and then it just stopped.

We ran into a similar issue again tonight, with an odd twist. Four of us were at the Starbase. My daughter got this mission and it worked perfectly. Our fleetmate then tried to do it, got the button to summon the cadets and nothing happened. He tried for quite a while and never could do it.

Meanwhile, my brother got the space weapons test mission, as did I. He had completed it before I got out in space, but when I tried it once again I would get the mission start button, but nothing happened. I tried multiple times, zoned and tried again. Eventually the Klingon ship did show up, but as soon as the battle started, it warped out. So I couldn't complete the mission. I finally dropped it and will try a new one tomorrow.

Apparently there's still some bugs that need to be worked out. :)

I have also had this problem on the KDF side. There's always one that ends up breaking.

The first cadet I inspected today was corrected. Then a weird issue came up where he had the problem, I hit the back button and then it said he was fine. Out of the two times I've tried this the same problem has happened. It is not possible for me to complete it 2 out of 2 times.

    Why doesnt it work?

The KDF inspection daily seems to be seriously bugged at times, sometimes failing 50% of the time.

    What happens:

You call out the KDF cadets and they assemble. You salute. Then, you start your inspection. All seems to go smoothly, but invariably ONE of the cadets has nothing wrong with him and you cannot complete the mission - collar correct, uniform correct, posture correct, fourth thing correct. You can even cycle through and attempt to pick all of the available options and none will update 5/5 complete.

Here's where it gets even nastier. Usually, after a set amount of time, the cadets seem to get bored and decide to break ranks and leave! You're left standing there and these scoot off down the hallway. The original option to call them to toe the line appears again (pops up when you're in the correct position in the KDF base) but, no matter how many times you pick it (F or click) it won't bring the cadets back out...

Sigh. Broken mission, it seems. Two options remain -- keep the mission and see if you can try again later before the next day (I've tried this to no avail) or the usual option which is drop the quest, therefore resetting the 20 hour cooldown on the daily and missing out on the 5 fleet marks reward you would have received if you were given a non bugged mission.

Other bugged KDF fleet daily (another one that has no apparent work around):

The mission where you have to read the manifest and take one item off each of the 5 freighters is seriously borked. When you read the original list, it is either blank (no entries after Freighter #1, Freighter #2, etc. ) or the color scheme that the devs picked is at odds -- heck, I even set gamma / brightness all the way up, still nothing on the list.

And since the mission doesn't update by freighter or with audible clues to success (you have to get all 5 correct before you get the complete mission) -- you can't even trial and error it, well I guess you could, but there are like 10 or so items on each freighter, and eich freighter would have to be correct and since there is no way of knowing if item #1 on freighter #1 is right, you'd have to do the permutations of item #1-10 or whatever for each freighter.

Like I said, no FEASIBLE work around....

One bugged Fed base daily that I *DID* find a work around for -- the PADD mission. About 50% of the time, I didn't get a mission complete even after checking all 4 PADDs (one on ops outside the mission giver area, one in Engineering, one in Science, one in Tactical). I even returned and tried scanning them again, to no avail.

But, I found out that if you work your way down... start on the Ops one being closest, take the next floor (usually Engineering), then Science, then Tactical and get no mission completion, if you click the beam up to ship button on top left corner of mini map, you will get the familiar "mission complete" sound and your mission log will update. Just go back into your base and do the turn in. I dropped this mission on several occasions before I lucked into finding this brute force approach for completing it (and not resetting the 20 hour cooldown by dropping / missing out on the 5 fleet marks)....

One thing to remember is the cadets physically walk to their location. this can take 20 seconds or so so they dont just beam in.

This mission has never worked for me, not even once. Every single time nothing happens when I go to the waypoint and call the cadets. Please devs, get your stuff working before it goes live.

I have not had a issue with this mission, completed it several times, on both Fed and KDF. Although I have noticed that a couple of times it took about 45 seconds for them to come out. where are they coming from the very bottom of the station?

This particular one works fine for me...kinda cool actually...
I've done it several times with multiple characters, np.
Now that "Inspect cargo manifest" one...
THAT one's broken...the cargo manifest lists are always blank.

For the daily SB missions, visit with the Officer of the Watch in the OPS room. Accept the daily mission and THEN ask him/her WHAT YOU NEED TO DO!

If you get the cargo manifest mission, finish the dialogue and then immediately ask the OotW for the cargo manifest. I suggest writing it down. Visit the console to hail the cargo ships and proceed.

For the inspect the cadets daily mission Fed side I suggest following the white line on the floor from the white circle until you see the "Call cadets" action button. Once the cadets are formed up, SALUTE. You then approach the cadets and commence to inspect them. I suggest starting off to the left side of the line and inspect them one at a time. If you get to close to the 2nd/3rd cadet then you see additional inspect cadet action buttons. Proceed to inspect. At the first note of a discrepancy, immediately jump down the menu to Correct Cadet and then proceed on to the next cadet. Dismiss them when finished with inspection.

I've done 6 different Fed SB daily missions so far and not had any issues with any of the missions.

The same error with this daily happened again.

Here is a screen shot. ....... LINK

As you can See, the next step is for me to salute the Cadets, but "Call Cadets" button is only available. Again, it has happened because another fleet member was doing this mission

I was able to both reopen the manifest and Freighter windows several times while completing the mission.

I suggest standing closer to the OOW so both options appear.
