I play a Lethean and a Naussicaan scientist, frankly I picked them BECAUSE they were so obscure, also, i'm the only person I know of that uses the Major General gorn ship, Varanus i think?:)
I don't think I've ever seen a Bajoran character outside of my crew, not counting NPCs.
Same goes for Betazoids, Pakleds, Rigelians, Fed Klingons, Bolians, Ferengi, Andorians, Benzites, Tellarites and Saurians. I haven't seen many Nausicaans, Letheans or KDF Joined Trill, either.

I just did the poll again. Still mostly humans, but I saw a few more andorians and vulcans, some trill, including an unjoined trill, A betazoid, and a Bajoran.

I would have said the Fek'ihri but then I just did a few no win scenarios and all but one of them were Fek'ihri ships which seem really hard in comparison to the Nausicaan's (The one NOT Fek'ihri I've done so far) so now I'd have to say Letheans.
Since everybody (yes, including me, afterall they are sexy and canon) rolls female orions, I decide to roll a couple of males. And I think they rock. Bald heads with plates on it, their outfit, they make the perfect badass.
And then their all the females ... played by males. So I dedided to make a pass on one of those girls. It scared the hell out of her.
BTW what do you think of non-green orions? Aren't those just people that want to have a sexy looking human character. An Orion should always be green, light, dark, doesn't matter, just my view on it.
I'm mostly... humancentric. But playing as another character species would be interesting. Maybe a very intelligent Pakled who thinks he's more intelligent than anyone else?
As for ships, I've only played the Fed side so far and the ships I don't see a lot of is that Vulcan science ship. I've seen quite a few Nebula class ships (last one I saw blew up a Unimatrix) and a few Nova classes (those things look kinda like... toys).

I'd like to see more Player-Character Andorians, I see alot of Andorian NPC's but I hardly ever find someone who plays as an Andorian. (My favourite species lol)
In the episode of TOS that introduced Orions it had a very unsubtle hint that Green was NOT the normal skin tone for Orions. So I don't worry about it if people play as non-green Orions. TAS had 2 alternate colors besides the standard emerald hue, chartreuse and pale blue. I've decided to use the idea that Ent represented a colony of green Orions, and that thier appearance was not representative of the Orions as a whole.
I did the poll a third time, Trill, joined trill, human(several), Ferengi, Alien(several). The odd part was seeing an alien that was made to look like an Andorian....

I'm most amused at it working on Elite Tactical Drones in elite ground STFs, regardless of their gender (though often they appear to be female).
Also coming back to this thread again it sounds like I should get my Andorian admiral out in the fray more often. Maybe I'll run into some of you who want to see them more.
I looked around some more today and came to one conclusion. Betazoids aren't actually all that uncommon. But since Betazoids look human(except the eyes) people can't tell the difference.
I saw a few Andorains today. But yeah, during my looking I did not see a single Pakled, and only one Tellarite.

Anyways, after more looking (Like Diogenes trying to find an honest man) I have failed to find a single Pakled. I've seen at least one of every other race (Including a Tellarite and a Rigelian) but NOT a single Pakled.
I'm surprised I've not seen any other Cardassians except myself. Well, I know that's actually an "alien", but it's easily done via character customization. Cardassians were popular enough to expect being swarmed with them.
Before F2P it was pretty rare to see another Ferengi around... saw the number jump when the D'kora was released... slowly dying off again tho...
Rarely see Pakleds still tho...
Ship wise would be science ships.. I'm flying my DSSV on my main again.. but I have the lower deflector removed so unless you're looking closely.. it sorta looks like a Heavy Escort..
Season 6 has to be one of my favorite Seasons as the new Space missions need some control builds..
I've seen Pakled toons before, but it has been a while. I have a female Andorian Scientist who oddly enough has Andorians as a majority of her bridge crew. My KDF in a male Klingon Engineer and Sulak is obviously Vulcan, a Tactical officer, and male.
Once we have the ability to turn our BoFFs into PC's, I'm thinking of making my Bolian Engineer BoFF, Crem Qrahm, a Captain. He's a major part of my Bridge Crew and a mainstay on my away team along with being the first BoFF I was awarded.

I very rarely see Oberths. Its for a good reason obviously, but I desire to see more of them.
Ships I rarely see : Galaxy, Nebula, Excelsior, Deep space science vessels. Just boring odysseys and defiants everywhere.
I think I've seen an orion male a long time ago, but it looks like naked females are more popular. I don't see why though. :rolleyes:
Really? My Vorta char flies a Nebula with the Borg set. Some of my other chars use Excelsiors. DSSVs? nope. Galaxy? yeah, not so many. But I did see a lot fo Galaxy variants around Sol today.
It'd be amusing to have a use for Oberths beyond Ensign level chars....

Edit: I made this Cardassian/Vorta/Romulan with my 3rd character slot from my temporary Gold subscription :cool: My others were a Human and a Klingon.
