Pulsewave and movement animations

It seems that if you have a pulsewave rifle out and are in combat, moving in any diagonal direction gives your character a funny-looking gait to their step. It's pretty odd, and I haven't seen this happen ever before (noticed it when playing today, haven't played since Thursday).

So far I haven't found this to happen with any other weapon type.

I've noticed same thing - this kind of running looks horrible! I hope, they will repair this... someday, especially there is a huge group of pulsewave assault guns users.

OK, it's not just me then.

I would describe the movement that happens as a ridiculous kind of prancing.

Oh, but its so fun!!! You get to skip around shooting the borg, being all happy, and everythings wonderful, and there are butterflies and cuddly bunny rabbits and ..

    /end sarcasm

In all seriousness though, it seems to be happening to me even if Im running straight, although sprinting does get rid of it. For now.

Irritating it is, I have to say, watching a group of bouncing grav-welled drones with pcs prancing around them is really quite amusing.

I just like to imagine my characters skipping happily across the ground going "Hi ho, hi ho, off to kill Borg I go."

I suppose "prance" is a good term for what it looks like, too.

In any case I am happy to finally see other responses in this thread. I was considering making a video to show it, but at least now I know others know what I am talking about.

It makes me swap away from my pulsewaves more often. It's not that it prevents gameplay, but it's so stupid looking that it's actually bothersome.

I put in a bug report about this also.

I keep thinking this and a lot of the other animation aberration you see with shooter mode would go aways if they shortened the shooting animation or how long the toon holds in that pose after they fire. I?ve rather often not had it look right when I fire a second shot with any weapon because my toons still seems stuck aiming at the first mod which is lying dead. while I?m already targeting and firing on a second mob which makes the beam/blob of light come out of the gun sideways or or backwards depending on how much i?ve rotated to aim.
