Well I just tested the Galaxy X Dreadnaught Cruiser and its an okay ship, cloak makes sneaking up on the enemy and blasting with the Spinal Lance fun. However there in is the problem, the Phaser Spinal Lance is REALLY hard to hit with, your best chance of hitting anything is a Medium to Large craft but anything like Escorts of certain classes that are SMALL are really hard to hit, what good is power if you cant hit with it?
Oh sure if your shields are down for the facing getting shot. I find it really hard to get a ships shields down for the Phaser Lance to hit without being absorbed by shields, and if what you said is true, i should be able to one shot or TWO SHOT the frigates in the Donia Patrol mission but whats this oh i couldnt and im lvl 50 and can choke out a huge amount of damage. Granted im not a Tac Officer using the souped up Attack Pattern Alpha+Omega but still.

Seems you blame the game for something that is not really the games fault.
I've been kicked in the butt by the lance enough times to know not to be in front of a GalX... And I am not running low end gear.
Poke around ask other PvP captains in the GalX about their builds...
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
As I have said elsewhere the R is the better ship
The X is basically a very large gun with a very slow turn rate
But its still viable in battle with the right build
concentrate your consoles and fixtures for Speed of turn and damage control
Stand as far off as possible and target the enemy carriers and other big stuff
which proves nothing as you are not the only person here with a view
Actually your desire for MORE power means you are using it wrong nothing else
I advise people to TRY the R (on tribble for example)
Try it for yourself
And when you have you will realise its a better vessel in MULTI ROLE situations
The oddy can win in pvp (and pretty much only in pvp actually)
Escorts are attack vessels
The X is a big gun fro STF's and is great againsts Huge slow targets (like the borg)
The R is ok in pvp pve stf and general missions
without ANY modification
Get it ??
Horses for courses yes but the R is a multirole vessel

one question and a request? First isn't that phaserlance a weapon on a ship really made for team play? And what are the stats for the Gal'R? Personally My playstile is not stand there and take it until superweapon blowsup the target, However one of my buds most certainly likes 10KM shoot move back a little shoot move back repeat until the other guy dies in frustration. I like the Idea of the Cruiser stile, Average at as many possible things as one can. Sorta the pitrol habbit. Yes this next is going to cause screams, however, Like the Flightdeck, I think a cruiser needs a little of everything. So a ship with the big gun in my OPT is a team weapon.
Wish I could think of something wise and cool, and all That!

Of cause it is hard to hit with... Has to be SOME kind of balance.

Saying things are underpowered or overpowered are Only EVER opinions
As I am sick of "Elite" people who think only power and greed matter and that PVP is everything
Well go to hell in your own way and own time gentlemen
Good luck to you
and I trust you will NEVER bother me about your ship problems
Wow. That's pretty amazing.
Are you on some kind of one-person mission to see the ship continue to languish in its poorly designed and conceived state?
