If you dont like your display name...

Create a new account. Brandon just posted that they cant change it. But accounts are free, and all of our accounts are still "brand new" under this new forum anyway.

    So... we need to get a workaround to get around a workaround, that didn't work? This is rapidly degenerating into a 60's pop song Nagus.

    So this is bummer! If I created a new account it would not be tied into my life time account, I am not going to create a silver account to get my old name back.

    Careful. You'll dilute your name on the forums. Pretty soon people will just snag your signature image and start making ever so slightly misspelled versions of your name. With no account security, it's super easy to impersonate people now.

    It'd be nice if that worked, but apparently 'captain_sol' is invalid. Because, you know, it's not like I haven't been using that since day one on the Cryptic forums since the City of Heroes days. Great stuff, Cryptic, PWE, seriously. Keep up the good work. :rolleyes:

    Also glad to see us lifers lost our forum names. Everyone lost their avatars, yep. Great stuff.

    You dont. So if you are really in love with that blue name then you probably wont want to do this. It doesnt really matter to me though, because almost everyone is blue these days.

    you don't. it's a completely different account. it's won't recognize an LTS not registered to the new account. You would have to get a new LTS for that forum account.

    Except soon they're making this non-optional, so, you're going to lose it in the end anyway. I hope someone with power over the STO license is watching this.

    Soon you will have to have a Perfect World Account to play STO, or use the forum. You'll have the choice of merging your current account (if you have one), or making a new PWE.

    I don't think anybody was, but Cryptic/PWE doesn't care.
