What NOT to do in the Foundry?

I was just thinking about entirely vertical space levels where all the objects are pretty much one long corkscrew up. Those would drive the cruiser captains nuts.

Anything else spring to mind?

Don't have enemy groups too close together. Two groups of Romulans, along with healers, wouldn't be my idea of an awesome mission.

I've actually got one: Spelling and grammar are key to the Foundry, lest you sound like this guy.

Please... learn how to spell people, think of the children!

Do not mix together Devidians, Fek'Ihri and Mirror Federation enemy NPC's. People may hate you for it, especially if all three groups are dressed as one group and placed close together like in one of the sequences in my mission! :D

dont forget to tell people where to go.

and put the starting location in both the opening dialogue and in the mission description itself.

some people put it in the opening text but forget that people will skip through it or forget where they were told to go. the misison description is a good place to put it as a back up and also lets people who are skimming over the missions to see which ones they like, know where the starting system is.

Don't forget to put in respawn points at appropriate places and test them, all of them...

Finish building the mission. Yes, I'm talking to you, Bob.
