I was fiddling in the Foundry last night, attempting to come up something new that I could make a video tutorial on for Starbase UGC. In that process, I accidentally did something that immediately inspired me for a plot. I had no idea what I was doing.
I continued to work from 12 o clock last night, to now. Right now, it is 10:17 am. It is the longest I have ever spent in the Foundry in a single sitting, and it has culminated in what I think is by far my best mission, my most inventive mission, quite possibly my most ANNOYING mission if you TRIBBLE up ... and all and all what I consider my super mission.
If you guys think this is bad, then I certainly can't do good.
I present -
"Monolith"
A Federation archeology team has uncovered evidence of a previously undiscovered alien civilization. But what starts as a scientific expedition, may end in apocalyptic destruction.
PLEASE, review, rate, and reply. Also, the thought of having to recreate this when the Foundry hits holodeck? Makes me cry. Literally. So much time and effort went into fixing every little bug.
Thank you all for your time. Now, I would like to sleep.

Any hints of what to expect?
Expect Romulans and Breen. So yeah, it might be a level thing there.
Also expect lots and lots of dialogue, and heights.
You can still keep the Romulans and the Breen, just swap the costume of the NPC.
That is how I added the Fed ships as an enemy in a Fed mission. Originally, I placed Mirror groups but that put the rank up to 31+ (IIRC). Then I placed down an Orion group and changed all the costumes and ship names to Fed ships. I ended up with an Any rank mission and Fed ships I can fight.
The battle got easier, but I assume the main focus of the mission is not combat.
Not saying I won't do it ... I'm just waying in my head whether it'll be worth the investment, and lose all the tubular freezing weapons the Breen have. What do you guys think?
I honestly don't understand why the Breen are a level 35 mob. Coudn't you do the Breen Series as a Lt Cdr? And considering all the enemies in the Foundry scale to rank anyway, what's the point of level minimums? I find that frustrating as a designer trying to tell a compelling story.
