    IF you fill a TOS bridge with Trifolic enhancers you are bound to spawn some nasty that will gobble up your bridge crew.

    Heh, that's true. I spawned a Devidian that wiped out my away team during a heated fight once. The group I was in was displeased. :(

    I've heard it spawns a TOS npc that ends up following you around and helping you on the mission, but I haven't seen that myself.
