Undine Players or crew members in Starfleet and Klingon faction?

I think this would be a really cool idea!

I know the Undine are already established in the Star Trek storyline as aggressive and often tyrannical, but there have been at least a couple instances in Star Trek where the "Species 8472" were not out-right violent machines, such as in a couple Voyager episodes. In Star Trek Online, you've got the Undine infiltration and you're back stabbed time and again by them in the game--which I think is neat for a good storyline--but ironically, the Undine are also very cool.

Sure, I've played a mission where Starfleet wants to make a truce with the Undine, but instead they're shown to be more aggressive and tyrannical than Starfleet thought by oppressing another species in fluidic space (I haven't played "The Return" yet, but I've got a gut feeling it will be a disappointment too...)

In real life, you can't paint all members of a community with the same brush. Star Trek has shown this with the Klingons particularly. Even some Borg are rescued from the collective or given new insight like "Hugh" and "Seven of Nine." I would looooooovve to see this happen with the Undine eventually--the sooner the better. Right now, it seems like Star Trek Online is portraying all of the Undine in ways to make players feel more "arrrg" towards them with a video game kind of need to fight them and enjoy the annialation (but please forgive me if it turns out I'm delusional).

It's just getting very hard to continue playing STO right now because I cannot hate the Undine. There's something just too cool about them!

I would like to propose that very soon in the storyline, maybe Starfleet and Klingon factions could have "rogue Undine" mingling mutually with the "ordinary humanoid aliens." In Starfleet, maybe there are a few Undine who believe things differently than the majority of their species--but without deviating too much from their "Undiny" natures and personalities (because that's part of why they're interesting).

Is it possible at all that the Dev teams can establish something like this? Anything like it at all? I would be thrilled to have an Undine Crew member or even get to play as one. I think it would be just too cool, and it would be a breather from all the "humaniod" aliens trekking the stars along with you (yes I know humanoid aliens have always been key to Star Trek--and at least the Klingons have the Gorn--but I wouldn't be able to resist if we had a few "Rogue Undine" in STO.)

How is this Foundry related? Also, LOL at the comment below. That is one of the funniest things I have seen anyone say on this forum:

    Oops...wrong forum...sorry.:o

I meant to post this as a Dev Chat. I'll look again for that section--assuming that is in the forums. Or is that an online conference of sorts?

Please be patient with me. Still getting situated here.

I think you want the Feedback section. Not the Foundry Feedback section though - there's a main one.
