With Foundry is it possible to create a map like Infected ? with that type of difficult mobs? not really concerned about the borg loot that it drops but have been wanting to do STF's with just me and my away team.

Currently, no. First, you'd be lacking some gameplay features that are available in normal STO content but are still not exposed in the Foundry. Secondly, Infected contains a gameplay element that requires synchronized interactions with objects. This cannot be done in the Foundry, and even if it could be done, when you'd be playing by yourself you'll have a problem since only your Captain character performs interactions.

while you can't do the synchronization of object use, you can put in high level mobs and advertise your mission as "co-op recommended." The first (and currently only) mission I've published on tribble is a Borg ground mission with some difficult ground mobs. I actually had to go back and dumb it down because of the team-transfer issue with UGC maps.

I can see the difficulty involved with this... The ground enemies don't scale their numbers like the space enemies do... If you put in a ground squad that is what it is... space scales enemy numbers for the number of players.

This creates a giant conundrum... You could never balance between the two for anything other than a single player setup...

Can you setup lots of mobs like an STF on the ground portion... sure.. not a problem, but as said earlier, complex interactions are not possible... I would hope you have actually played the STF's several times to understand how they are typically laid out...

I think you will find that more than 2 mobs of enemies is going to wipe you out. All enemies scale to your level... this is not the case with STF's... when you run Infected RA at VA level the enemies are -6 to you... In a Foundry mission they are your level.

In Reality, the STF's are designed for 5 man teams, BO's just don't have the intelligence or firepower like a real player. I would imagine it would be very tedious to get a good balance and almost impossible to get the flavor of the STF's.

The Interlink Nodes being one particular aspect that I don't believe we can duplicate. The other is being able to have timed events and the chance to fail and try them again, as well as special Boss NPC's with special abilities and "Custom Costumes" - not the simple costume options we have now, with no size or body modifications.

yeah i have ran through infected that was about it so i understand the complexity behind it. I mean sure it would be a stripped down version by all means but would be entertaining none the less.

The map for Starbase 24 was in the Foundry last time I checked. But they advised against using it because apparently the map doesn't show in the map editor so you won't know where you're placing objects :S

on top of that you have a 20-25 NPC group limit per map.

Please put that up on the board for modification Stormshade. I'd like to create mega-whopping battles in space and ground, buit so far ground is the only thing i can create mega- whopping battles on.

How about you break the Friendly, neutral, and enemy NPC groups up so they have their own individual limits

Well its only logical it eventually gets added, that us- if we are going to be allowed to make STF difficulty equivalent missions. For now I want an increase to the NPC squad cap- especially if its a shared cap
