OK, it seems like there are quite a few missions sitting and waiting to be reviewed, with no one doing so. Some missions are getting heaps of praise and love, while others just sit waiting for even one review. Like mine for example. So, since I'm not working today and just basically sitting at home and nursing a cold, I've decided I'm going to go through the mission lists and play EVERY single mission that has no ratings.

If anyone else would like to join me, that'd be great. Maybe we can get some of these missions out of review limbo.

Just a few more hours until I can start my weekendy goodness of getting back in the reviewing stands, albeit a shorter weekend... again.

I can do that this weekend too. I finally got two reviews on my two missions yesterday.

I'm free to review at any time, it's just hard finding the missions that need it.

I kinda feel bad for writing missions instead of testing some of the missions others put out.

Am I just satisfying my own ego in creating my own missions instead of trying to find out what others made?

    Maybe. :)

I hope to find some time eventually to do more reviews. ;)

I could be down for this on my spare time this weekend. Ill endeavour to play the missions that only have 2 review or less.

well then try mine out. Im still working hard at beta 1.80, but it should be up and out within the next 6 hours. Im just posting up the changes to the UGC wiki page.

    http://starbaseugc.com/wiki/index.php/To_End_The_War-_Designs(Beta)

once I have finished up the last map, the rest of the plans will be minor tweaks to the general dialog and little balance changes- mainly as more features get added to foundry. The only person to rate it so far has been one of my fleeties earlier on in the mission- when i discovered some of the big bugs that i couldn't get around

I have wanted to do reviews of other missions myself, but since I have been caught up in the middle of my own project- I haven't had much time for anything else.

I kind of agree with this.

The New button doesnt show "New missions." They all already have ratings.

If the New feature showed missions that hadnt bee rated at all it would be most helpful.

Maybe we should make our own "special" events. A "Review Week-End". Darren will produce a list of all new unreviewed missions, and everyone can pick some to test. (Why Darren? He's good at this stuff, and more importantly, I too lazy to do it.)

I mean, after all, there are people asking about special events.

    We could have "monthlies":
    1) Tribble Test Weekend. Try the neweset features and just check to see what's coming.
    2) Foundry Review Weekend. All reviewers unite for reviewing all the new material.
    3) PvP League Weekend. PvP fleets and players get to play the big leagues.
    4) Fleet Action Weekend. Similar to the Daily, but all week-end.
Week-Ends start on Friday and go through Sunday.
People participating (at least 1h?) get some kind of special recognition - an Accolade, an expandable trophy, a leaderboards entry and some Emblems, Marks or Badges.

    Ah, well, getting off-topic here.

I kind of like this idea.

As for my mission, Beta 1.80 is currently 72.50% through publishing, and i have uploaded the change list to my UGC wiki page(see previous post for link)

give it about 5 minutes top, and the mission should be live- and i finally feel glad that i have gone through to the end of this mission. it was a big one for my first one up

There seems to be a bug in the mission selection screen. Well, OK, several bugs. But this particular bug means that a lot of "New" missions will only show up in the review screen the first time you search. You have to hit the Stop Reviewing button, and then select "Review" again in order to get them to appear again.

I have the more serious problem of no missions showing in the search at all! Nothing is working and you can see any mission. Other people have posted it in the bug section. I was hoping to test missions too but can't. :(

There are ton that have not been looked at once. There could be a OMG adventure out there but not has tested it yet. If you think it is bad in Beta just wait tell it gos live. There will be million adventures in the game. Saidly I can not think of a easy fix for this. This system they go now will not work in any large scale.

It might work better on live server with more people testing. Right now Tribble has less players on it than Holodeck. And most of those are making missions rather than testing them. I've seen posts where people say "I would like to test but I'm too busy making my own mission".

There are players on Holodeck who probably have no interest in making missions but are willing to play test some.

well I managed to test one mission, but i foolishly dropped my backed up mission because i assumed it didn't update with my changes that I added this morning. It was only on the dropped mission text that I realised that the missions will auto- update even after changes have been published and people have the mission in their to do list still

Can you still search for new Foundry missions even though no one else can?

not anymore. I had a few stacked previously but couldnt complete them cos of a server crash.

fingers crossed they fix this problem tomorrow. I was due to drag my fleeties into tribble to do this Sunday arvo.

The mission search is working again! :)

So if anyone is feeling charitable, please give my mission a try. It's the second one I've ever published and it's called: The Syndicate Extraction.

I just published it while the search was down, so it hasn't been played by anyone yet or got any reviews.

I published Facility of Fools awhile back and got some positive reviews, but I just re-did it based on the feedback and combined parts one and two into one mission. I'll take some mercy reviews on the new version if anyone is feeling kind. Kind to play it - you can be as brutal as you want in your review. :D

    Thanks.

I always review the new missions. However, my mission has no reviews whatsoever. I am almost to the point where I'll just review it myself and give it 3 stars just so that people can see it.

Anyway, If anyone wants to see it, the mission is called: The Search for Sulu, Part 1
