I know it's been said, but it needs repeating...TELL THE PLAYER WHERE TO START

I don't know if it was a Foundry bug, misplaced door, or a poor description, but I ran into two missions in a row that I could not even start because I could not figure out where to go.


One mission started off well with a really good description highlighted in green. Go to the Iota Pavonis Sector Block, and proceed to the Bolarus Sector.

Then it said to to go to Llaiir III. I assumed he meant go to the Llaiir system and that he'd made a custom map for Llaiir III.

when I got to Llaiir, there was no popup of any kind. In this case, it seemed like it was a misplaced door, or incorrectly coded mission since he seemed fairly specific on where he wanted me to go. However, I wonder if it was a nearby system or something.

another mission told me that there was some sort of invasion in the "outskirts of Memory Alpha". He didn't strictly tell me to go to Memory Alpha, but I assumed as much. I went there, and once again, no popups. Also, he didn't say what sector block it was in either, but atleast most people know where mem alpha is.

These missions made me want to come here and say it again. If the player has to run around figuring out where to go, you're doing it wrong.

    I hear you on that. for those misisons- i havent bothered reviewing, but maybe i should leave a comment

    I like that you get to review a mission when you drop it...then you can explain why you dropped it.

    I didn't realize you could review when you dropped it, I sent a guy an email when I couldn't review a mission i didn't finish but hadn't dropped yet. /selfbonk
    Then I dropped it after the email and the button ungrayed. :rolleyes:

    I would appreciate knowing the mission names so I dont bother taking them.

    I don't really remember...they were in the unreviewed section though.

    One was called Health of the Crew maybe? Something about a sickness breaking out that sounded pretty cool actually, but it was either bugged or I wasn't going to the right place.

    The other one was Invasion, something or other. Sorry I can't specify, I could probably remember when I look at the list tonight.

    The invasion one can't be mine. My mission is called Invasion of Earth Space Dock, and the mission giver is Commander Shoko Futagami (or whatever her name is). I clearly stated that you need to meet with her in the lounge on the upper level of Club 47 at Earth Space Dock, and during your conversation with her, she tells you where to go to start the mission.
