Is there any way to make enemy characters friendly?

Just what the title says. I'm working on a series of missions for the Klingons in which the player takes part in an Orion Syndicate resistance to break from the Alliance. (Nothing major or canon-changing, mind you. More or less something like the Irgun during the years leading up to the Israeli declaration of Independence) In one of these missions, the player works with the Federation to spring some resistance leaders from a prision. Does anyone know if there is a way to make the Federation actors friendlies without changing their names?

If you want an enemy to be your friend, then place an NPC group that belongs to your faction, and then click on each individual character and change its costume to an enemy. On the same box where you change its costume, you can type the name you want to appear. If you want an ally to be your enemy, then place an enemy NPC group and click on each individual character and change its costume to that of an ally.

I know how to do that, but when i do that, they have their origional names, still. For example, if I put fed. costumes on a klingon ground squad, they'll still have names like "Warrion" and "Swordmaster". What I want to do is change the costumes and the name of the unit so it appears with the real name of the costume.

Just edit the names of the group and the "contacts". This may help you: http://starbaseugc.com/index.php/sto-ugc-tutorial/video-tutorial-idle-animations-chat-animations-and-chat-bubbles/

The only limitation will be that your enemy-allies will probably shoot phasers and also otherwise behave like a group of Federation NPCs.

Ah. Thank you very much! Now back to the level creation. I'm working on something special to start the new year, as well as possibly a christmas-themed level.
