Ship costumes?

Is there a way in the present incarnation of the Foundry beta (0.3 as of this writing) to change the costume on the player's ship? I'm looking for a way to fly a shuttlecraft to a spacedock.

excellent idea dug gives me a mission idea :P

We'll need a player ship entity so it looks like your leaving your current ship.

I was about to ask the same thing.

I want part of my mission to take place on a one-room map (shuttlecraft/runabout)

How could I do this from both an interior and exterior perspective?

The possibilities are nearly endless. You could "take over" an enemy ship. You can recreate historic battles. You can become a non-corporeal entity and fly away into deep space. You can float in deep space where you're left to bear witness to a space battle. etc. etc.

Could make the player feel like a Admiral.

Supervise the U.S.S. (Whatever) on its mission into Fluidic space.

It would spice up ship combat if you did not always know what the ship attacking had for ability. There are storys were Fed Ships have cloaks etc.

lol someone did that on tribble. they put a romulan shuttle skin over a borg cube. That shuttle kicked my TRIBBLE so many times.

I could not, for the life of me, figure out how to put a different skin over a space enemy NPC. How do you do this?

Click on the individual actor marker and you can change its costume. Its an extension of the NPC group.

I think that you can change the player's ship skin through the Initial Spawn, but only the skin.

(At least until further updates of the Foundary that is)
