Text Formatting

I know about the variables for [shipname] and stuff like that, but in the walkthrough only [missiontext] is listed as a text formatting tag.

I'm trying to figure out how to add paragraph or line breaks - is there a tag for that? The "Default Text" field where you can enter default dialogue for NPC contacts doesn't seem to allow line breaks because the box where you enter the text is a single line.

Not related directly but you raised a good question without meaning too :)

On the foundry text fields can we highlight all text in a box and copy it so we can paste into a word doc for when missions get lost and we cross over to holodeck :)

There's no way to add HTML style coding to the text boxes. Indexes, line breaks, bullet lists, etc can't be added yet and I haven't seen anything like that from Cryptic content.

The only text editing in Foundry right now is the highlight tool

Just highlight it all (either with the mouse or control+a) and control+C to copy, just like any other text editor and paste it somewhere else.

What I'm saying is that in the regular mission text box it lets you type out a bunch of stuff and press return and have breaks and paragraphs. But in the default text field which you can add to NPCs from map view, it lets you do everything including using the variables for [shipname] and things, but I can't find a way to break it into paragraphs. You just get a continuous block of text when you check out that NPC in preview mode.

SHIFT+Return twice will give you a paragraph break.

Didn't work. Shift+return just ended the editing of the text box and accepted the changes. I'm talking about the single line text box for entering a "Default text" on an NPC contact when you see the properties for it in map view. It's like the box where you enter chat for NPCs - a single line text field box.
