Coming soon. My own Star Trek adventures. I always want to write my own Star Trek adventures. I starting to write my missions. So by the time the foundry be on the holodeck I will have some missions ready to work on. I can't wait for the foundry be on the holodeck. I will work hard on my missions. I do hope you will like my missions. I got lots of story ideas. COMING SOON.
UPDATE 2/6/2011 : When I start this post I did start to write my missions but after few days then I have stop writing my missions. That's why I am going to just do it on the foundry beta.
I will keep true to the Star Trek universe. Because I a big Star Trek fan. It's going to be fun to create my missions. I will do my best on my missions that I have create.
I will give you more information after the foundry beta hit the holodeck and after I start working on my missions on the holodeck. I just want to remind people about my project. All I am doing is promo my project. I have lots of ideas of which kind of missions I will be create. I just don't know which kind of story idea I want to create until I start working on my mission.
COMING SOON: Jeremy Schultz's Star Trek: My Online Adventures
This is a Tribble forum, you wanna plug your future mission? Give Holodeck channels a try. Foundry is v0.3 now....solid beta, And, solid Tribble...
However, if your mission is good on Tribble, the devs will elect it themselves to Holodeck. Just wait for the crazy first anniversity event to end, and people will return to tribble for extra content reviews....
Highbone I hope you are joking but if not this is the right place to discussion my project. Is not for tribble forum but if for all of the foundry beta discussion. I can post my project on this forum. I know where to put my postings.
Firstly Highborne is an awesome person to discuss any foundry things with.
He helped me even when I was silly enough not to agree with him. He knows what it takes to get your mission noticed.
Secondly saying I'm going to do my own adventures and using the foundry tool are two totally different things. I hope you love Sim type games. I love Train simulators and love making my own maps. If you think that is nerdy and boring good luck with Foundry.
Thirdly I have been playing with foundry for 3 weeks now for many many many many hours and still have not got a mission worth bragging about.
Fourthly I may be literate, but am a published paid writer and find it difficult to create story arch's on foundry.
I do not write this to lower your motivation or put you down in anyway. It's just you need to hope on tribble foundry and work your little tail off, otherwise when foundry hits holodeck there is going to be so much golden content your mission will be lucky to get a look in.
Here is something I've been using may help.

filbone, My plan is to get myself ready for it to be on the holodeck by being on the tribble testing for the next few days or weeks leading up to being on the holodeck and look at videos and read it on the internet. That's I am going to do. That way I will be ready in time for being on the holodeck. I using tribble testing to practice on so I be ready for it on the holodeck. So I am doing my homework on the foundry beta. Past few months I have doing my homework on the foundry beta. I am getting ready for it. I was just want to promo it. That's all. Beside I have a speech problem and my right ear I can't hear. I have a disable.
Look, I have to agree. This is the Foundry forums, yes, but it primarily exists here to help people working within the Foundry.
It's not bad to announce that your mission is done and to request people to play it for feedback, but constant spam-bumping to advertise a mission that simply doesn't exist yet and by your own admission won't exist for several more weeks is simply useless and, to be straight up honest with you, annoying.
If you absolutely had to do this, I'd recommend the Tribble thread, but since this one is more about Foundry authors helping Foundry authors as opposed to advertising missions, I suggest you keep that in mind and move your adverts elsewhere.
Just to bring my point home a little, I have VERY little compulsion to try your mission now. Not just because I've been annoyed to death by reading the constant bump messages of "coming soon', but also because I've noticed slightly substandard grammatical finesse in your own postings even here. In other words, and I hate it if I come off as a snot, but you simply haven't done yourself any favors with this thread.
Yeah I was hoping you'd get the iliterat joke. Luckely I have an editor who I'm getting to look over my Foundry missions. And by editor I mean my mother. You see I come from a line of writters. I'm just the first dyslexic one. lol... sometimes i do it just for fun.
Any who.....
This is the your audience, welcome to the foundry. Don't let us get you down, prove us wrong. Eithur give us something we can help you with, something you are willing to let us criticise and this thread could be worth while. You have the attention of some amazing, knowledgeable sto players and I suggest you use it.

You're not the first I've seen use "arch" on the forums...it's becoming a pet peeve at this point.
Jeremy Schultz's Star Trek: My Online Adventures is not a story arc. It's my series of missions that I create. I just want to have a name for my series. I will tell you what my missions all about. My threads will say Jeremy Schultz's Star Trek: (my mission name). I will also give you notes on this thread.
":" aren't allowed in Foundry mission names. I agree with some of the others in this thread. You need to get into the toolset while it's still on Tribble and get yourself up to speed if you want to achieve greatness when it hits Holodeck.
Dear OP, with all due respect, you might want to get one of your native english speaking fleet mates to adjust the wording of your missions prior to publish, as may get some bad feedback if your mission text is worded like your posts.
Okay your title has a limited amount of characters.
My first mission was called 'FILS1EP1 Mysterious Grace" besides the fact that people would not play my mission because the title was ugly, that is the limit on the characters.
My 2nd Draft is called "Can't Keep A New Suit Clean"
I suggest you stick to a good title and if your episodes are cannon use part 1. 2. 3. etc etc...
People will not play your mission if the title doesn't have a trek feel. Trust me I learned the hard way.
To filbones I will listen to you and another people. And ask questions. I just don't want you to stop posting. If you and another people could help that's be great.

Newsflash: Foundry (Beta) is currently on Tribble. Build a mission, already! Even if it's just a test mission, to figure out what you can, and cannot, do!

Just about everyone in this thread is trying to help you, by suggesting that you get on Tribble, and start working with the Foundry, NOW! Learn the tools. Plan things out. Test options.
And, yet, you refuse to hear any of their suggestions. If you truly want others to help you, don't turn down their help now, accept it.
OK OP, so someday you will be making a mission using the Foundry, and you'd then like me to play it. Why? You've given me nothing to go on, escept that one day you will make a mission and that I should play it.
I sorry about some of my posts in this thread. It because of I was afraid that no one will play my missions once the foundry beta come out to the holodeck. I will like to start all over with you guys by stop writing in this thread and start a new thread. This time I will do it right. I will not going in to this thread no more. You will have to go to my new thread. My new thread is call Jeremy Schultz's mission planner.

No, don't start a new thread. Just don't make any until you have something ready to show people. Some people don't like it when you say "Coming Soon!" and have nothing coming soon. You don't even know when Foundry Beta will move to Holodeck. It could be months from now.
If you hype something early then by the time it comes out we will have forgotten about it.

Or are you scared of opinion? If you wait, you may get more than you have bargained for....
It's just lame you most a nonexistent mission on THIS Foundry forum, Tribble BTW, and have nothing to show?
I'm done like juan, people just iggy this whole affair, and Iggy me..

But that example disproves your point
