Can't leave map back into space.

I only tested this using the creation charactor, but after completing the map i can't leave it. Maybe there is something I am missing?

I get the mission from earthspace dock, i head to wolf 359, instead of entering wolf 359 I enter the mission map. After mission is complete I can't leave the map.

    If you're previewing the mission, I believe that's typical. Once the mission is actually published (I'm assuming it's not), then the player will be able to get back to sector space after the mission is done.
