Hi folks, I hope your well. I also hope your on Tribble testing out the Foundry and making some KDF episodes. I just made my first, its called "Imperial Rule". Nothing fancy, just a simple mission to stop a Gorn rebellion. If you have made any Klingon episodes, please post the names in this thread so the Klingon community will have a list of faction missions to try.

I was in the foundry closed beta and had three KDF missions, I haven't been around much due to family needs, but I plan to rebuild mine and publish them on Tribble eventually, might end up waiting until foundry goes live.
It's a spin off/based off a Federation mission, Curiouser and Curiouser. The two are related, and can be piercieved as being parallels to each other, with the intent that both eventually connect to a neutral mission.
I have this KDF story in my head that I have been waiting to tell since beta.
I played around for a couple of hours in the foundry and won't be able to tell the story quite yet.

I'm no pro, but I've learned alot in the past few days. PM me the details if you want and I'll let you know if its remotely possible. I wont attempt making your mission of course, just seeing if its mechanically possible.
Unfortunately I have no missions completed or even made yet, though I am considering tackling the Hurq in a mini-series once the UGC goes live. I will be doing a follow along of "newbie mission building" and blog my progress on Kirkfats UGC wiki website and hoepfully it will not completely suck wind.
I began the write up for a KDF mission, has no title yet. Still I have a question. Will foundry missions get sacked if they use in universe content that is not covered in game? Seeing that the Gorn had a tie in to them once, I thought the Typhon Pact would make a good initial plot motivator that could later be useful if I did a sequel. Should I be concerned or should i just soldier on and take my lumps when and if they come?
It starts off with a hostage taking situation at a mining facility on a Gorn moon that is going to be a main supplier of....i don't know...Iron (I guess I could make up a word).....to feed the kdf war machine.
The problem with the foundry at the moment is
1) I can't make maps
2) I can't make scripts.
3) If I could make maps and scripts and costumes, I can't copy them over to the modules for reuse.
Strange energy readings have been detected in orbit of Ty'Gokor. Any threat to Ty'Gokor could be a threat to the entire region. You must go there and begin to unravel the mystery that could threaten an empire.
This will eventually become part 1 of several episodes.
There are a couple of issues.
The ground mini maps are mostly blank.
The pathfinding on the interior map is poor.
The warp in and out and beam in and out animations dont tend to work.

Read the EULA. I am not sure 100 % sure, but it's always... dangerous to use material that is potentially copyrighted. That said - unless you actually copy text verbatim from another source, it's unlikely this would count.
The main restriction regarding this is that you can't create likenesses of existing characters (since the actors that played them have rights on that probably.).
I would see it this way:
There is "real" canon - e.g. everything that was on TV or on the big screen. You better not violate this, or the canon TRIBBLE will give you negative reviews. But, you better not create any of those likenesses either, because then you're not just getting a bad review, you might get reported for violating the rules.
Then there is soft canon that you can find in countless of licensed books. Using this might be okay or not, and some reviewers might love you using that, others might accuse of plagarism or just didn't like the source and so don't lke yours.
Then there is "game" canon. All the stuff that is presented in this game. There is nothing that wouldn't allow you to violate this, but I am sure it would hurt your reviews.
And finally, there is "game soft canon" created by all of the UGC authors. Just like the soft canon from licensed material, it can easily be internally inconsistent. Moving from UGC mission to UGC mission, you never know whether they are consistent or not.

Looks like I would be safe then. No likenesses at all and it is only a reference to the Typhon Pact as a plot motivator.
Did I mentioned Collective Assault already? The Borg are attacking a Klingon base near Ker'rat - stop them and find out what they are really trying to achieve.
A large space battle fighting multiple Borg ships with KDF allies.

By Yours Truly.
Board a True Way vessel in search of answers, and instead find more questions.

Just a simple mission - mainly to test some functions. But it's still not that bad imho

The sequel to "Indirect Espionage".
Attack the True Ways Forward Operations command Station and learn what they're doing with salvaged Borg technology.

I have one or two other ideas, but not fleshed out enough to properly script them yet.

Its a klingon inter-house battle story arc
part 1 : stirring the hornets nest
Part 2 : Taking the bait.
part 3 is causing me fits because I had to make the room from scratch placing objects, it should be cool.
