I'm using the Trimble Federation Interior and, despite saving frequently, the game frequently disconnects. While annoying, this shouldn't be a huge issue.
however, saving isn't working. Nearly every change I've made to the Trimble interior will not load properly when I got to reload the mission. I can create new costumes and save that data but as soon as I start modifying the Trimble interior, no further changes will "stick" or save.
This is very annoying and needs fixing before any Holodeck release should be considered.
I had successfully saved a mission and reloaded. Everything was fine. So, I logged out. However, I came back to edit it and it reverted back to an earlier save - removing several maps, dozens of objects, three costumes, and six objectives.
This data loss is very bad. Unless this issue is a server issue, I think Foundry needs to get pulled again.
I have found the cure for data loss. Just make the mission as fast as you can, saving every single change and never logging out. I got 3/4 the way through before it booted me, but that 3/4 stuck. I quickly logged back in and finished it (not they way I want to finish it though) and published it. I can't edit it because it reverts to the original 3/4, but the published version is "complete"
Aside from the onslaught of spelling error, it worked pretty well. I am beginning to wonder if the foundry server is on an old 1ghz Packard bell with 128mb of ram, because it is having major issues.

Mission : Atmo Rescue

I'll have to try this.
I attempted to let auto-save do it's work instead. I purposefully chose not to save and let the auto-save do it's thing. This caused everything to be lost. The mission is essentially blank now.
It's troubling that this error was never on RedShirt during closed beta testing. We had out crashes and hiccups but the data loss here is severe.
I'm going to do something more productive than have all my work delete itself every 30 minutes - like play another MMO until it gets fixed.
Yeah, this blows. We should all go play another MMO so Foundry doesn't get tested, and it will magically appear bug free later.
It sucks, but it's in Open Beta. It's supposed to be bug ridden. We have all volunteered to test it, and this is exactly what needs to happen so they can fix it BEFORE the general public starts hammering away at it on Holodeck.
This is not a released product. Stop acting like it's one.

I spent a large part of my morning trying to replicate the issue.
It isn't a bug; it's due to the server being overwhelmed. ZeroniusRex confirmed there are many stability fixes incoming (assuming the Monday's patch is given a clean bill of health).
Also, my wry sense of humor and raspberry smiley were meant to convey the fact I was joking.
See this:
Neither can I.

This happened to me as well. I saved everything, and even successfully published my mission, but everytime I log back in to the Foundry, and edit that project, it says there's a newer autosaved version available which I know isn't true. So, I click "no" when it asks me if I want to load the auto-save, and the project is missing a bunch of objects that I saved and even published. So, if I want to correct a typo in my already published mission, I'll have to recreate all missing objects, fix the typo, and THEN republish.
I'm really happy with the interface, it's *reasonably* stable (not rock solid like the game, but certainly above average for a level editor, which are often wildly unstable) and am very happy with the range of assets and level of customisation available.
Being able to pop in and out of space or ground map quickly and easily at any point is awesome, as is the ability to assign actions to items as well as characters.
Unfortunately not being able to save changes means I'm going to choose not to test until that issues been resolved, as it's making it too difficult to do end-to-end testing and give more valuable feedback right now.
After several wasted attempts to update my project, I've given up until such time that the devs patch a fix. No point in spending my time to accomplish nothing.
My project overall saves , its just on one map , i think it may be trimble as well , but on that map i can no longer add anything , if i do then it refuses to show up ingame and testing.
I had to completely delete the map and remake it all over again , it was then ok.
Incidently maps i delete sometimes come back wtf?
Also i cant use foundry now because if i click the text area on contacts or pop ups etc it crashes to desktop now.
It needs alot lot of work lol
BTW make it offline we dont need a editor that works online its only going to cause problems.

I'm getting that when I try to either re-enter a project or even load a UGC mission for reviewing. I think things have become unhappy on Tribble.
They should change the message to "server is being ganked"
Saith
Rofl, indeed.
Yea, there is another thread where people are having the same issues.
Looks like we did our job too good, we broke it.
Guess it couldn't handle our awsomeness lol.

Id love to work on my mission but dont have the heart if I cant save it and have to start over again each time.
I don't if it is an issue with missions over a certain size or what, since lots of people are publishing new things fine.
Either way, I'd love to see some dev comment on the matter, since inability to save is a rather huge bug.
