Tribble missions available on Holodeck after launch?

Before I since 5+ hours into making a mission, I'm curious if I will have to re-make this when it's released to Holodeck? Or will content already created on Tribble be copied over as well?

It's all gonna be deleted, so if you can, save your work to recreate it on Holodeck

Well, it'll still be on Tribble, IIRC. But it won't be moved over to Holodeck.

I'm hoping there will be at least a text export tool built to let us save our text -- if not a map and asset transfer system so we don't have to rebuild everything.

There's no official word but chances are fixes and new features would "break" you mission transferring from Tribble to Holodeck. It's a beta-testing state.

That said, the devs have expressed some desire to minimize this - which may explain why closed beta was so long (in order to make it as close to release quality as possible).

The upside to this is that it gives you a second chance to try to make you missions a second time, now that you've had more practice.

The downside to this, is that people have put several days of love and care into their first missions already, only to have them annihilated.

If most of the mission could be saved as a project and carried over, I'd be a much happier camper, personally.

I've recreated two of my missions from closed beta.

One of them, that I'm working on now, is being revamped and expanded. Before, you merely needed to convince a Vulcan Separatist leader of your good intentions. Now, you also get to conduct peace talks (with alternating dialogue pop-ups) in a Vulcan ship in orbit carrying a Federation Ambassador.

Thia is why I am not creating a masterpiece of work on tribble. Right now I am just doing basic stuff.

Look at it this way: This is your practice run. Learn from the criticisms and then you will be able to recreate them on Holodeck with a clean rating.

The one thing I could hope for but not expect(since it requires someone to basically reformat the dbase info into a readable form, would be to have a way to at least export to a txt file the 'guts' of our missions. that way if we need/want to, we can just copy paste the coordinates for the items and such back into the editor. Of course, this is assuming that more nifty toys dont become availible in the interum that make me want to use other things instead.

I really hope they work out some way of export/importing or some other way of moving the missions over to Holodeck...

I've spent day's working on my mission getting props in just the right places...

And wile it's been a learning curve so it's not been wasted time....i'd not like to have "wasted" all that time... if you know what i mean ;)

So devs ... please figure somthing out ..please.. i'm on me knees begging you.. :):D
