Not able to use Foundry

So I was talking to some buddies on the TTS channel and they said they were on Foundry as we were talking. So I hoped on over to TTS and tried to go into Foundry and All the buttons were faded out, and I was not able to create anything. I was not able to select the Create a character on the Content Creator, nothing.

    The character creation button is working from where I sit JRC. Try again....

    The same thing happened to me and it is ****ing me off because I can't use the foundry. I agreed to all of the terms of licsence agreement and all of that, but it still won't work. It is all faded out like I have to do something before I can use it. I really want this fixed, but I don't know how. If anyone has suggestions, please let me know. :mad:

    How many characters do you have on Tribble, because the test character creation needs one of your empty slots.

    And you are trying on Tribble, right? And not on Holodeck? :)

    that copy character bug needs fixing asap though, as right now we cant copy any characters over to tribble.

    Anyone notice the date on the original post was 12-2-10? Foundry was out then. Has the OP tried again to access Foundry since then?

    any word of a fix for this as I am suffering from this aggravating problem now...:confused:

    Belay my last i just found the note about being down for tweaking... missed it on the first read through...:rolleyes:

    I was not able to access it today...

    unless there's some trick to it that i don't know of.

    Foundry is still down and will be till Monday.

    Is there any word on when the Foundry will be available to live servers? I don't have access to tribble or red shirt.
    I have all kinds of ideas I would like to begin working on but no way to do so. :(

    probably not for a good while still, if cryptic is smart about it. Hopefully this Monday Tribble will see a huge update for it. I'd give people a couple weeks to play with it with potentially weekly updates; I'd guess a month at minimum before Holodeck, probably longer. But a lot of it is going to depend on what Bugs are found.

    Why can't they add a pop up message to the game main screen when the foundry is offline? It annoyed me when I logged in to the Tribble test server, couldn't access the foundry and had to search an eternity until find out that it was offline

    Not sure how hard it is for you to go to find the Tribble Patch Notes & read the latest couple (1st posts only) to find out what has happened. Heck I always check the Tribble Patch Notes before heading into Tribble (or Red Shirt, if Cryptic would let me on).

    Welp, been trying now for the last week to use the foundry program. I will not let me do anything, ALL options are grayed out, so I can't make a test character nor any game. Is there something I am neglecting to do? Do I have to pay for it seprate? Do I have to attain a certian rank?? I don't know, can someone help me out here?? PLEASE!! I am going batty.

    Its being tested in QA as we speak and could be live as soon as this afternoon if all goes well

    Well from what I can tell I checked the foundry late last night (maybe an hour before the server went down) and the foundry was still not working.

    So far I haven't been able to use the foundry even once....
    So while others here are able to access the foundry and tinker with ideas I've been left in the dark wondering.

    It would be real nice if the dev in charge of the foundry would post an update every few days or so, instead of these once in a long while posts...

    Come on Devs let us know what's going on instead of leaving us hanging..:(

    I failed to see how the foundry can be down for so long. Considering that the new content was probably tested at time of creation then tested more on Red Shirt.

    Don't get me wrong I want a bug free foundry but if its so unstable that it takes 2 weeks for QA to test it on tribble then should it have ever left Red Shirt? :confused:

    I agree. I really don't mind waiting. as long as I have some idea of when it will be back up. Initially, the word was "a week or so". It is going on 2 weeks without any kind of official word. Believe me. I am not unappreciative of all the work involved or the fact that they have developed such a wonderful tool for us. As a matter of fact, I'm so anxious to get it back because that's all I really do, now. A quick post to say "It's going well, but it won't be up for another two weeks" is all I need to stop checking it every fifteen minutes. :)

    I completely agree. I check it constantly and just something from them with an estimate and then an update would save me a lot of time. Come on Devs, how about a quick daily two sentence update?

    Ok. This is what was posted on Starbase UGC. It is a quote from Dstahl. I think we can stop checking this weekend.

    "We ALMOST had the Foundry back on TRIBBLE around 5pm, but found a publishing bug that postponed the switch until we can get a fix. My best ETA right now is sometime early next week it’ll be back on TRIBBLE."

    Thanks a bunch for posting. It saves me a ton of time. At least we have something to look forward to next week.
