Anyone Publish any missions?

SystemSystem Member, NoReporting Posts: 178,019 Arc User
Anyone publish any missions before foundry went down? I published a small one (Objects in the Mirrors [Mirrors was a typo i didn't notice until after I published]) and it showed up when I did a search.

Edit: TRIBBLE, I forgot to move my spawn point.... Its right in the middle of a Mob..

Edit: Apparently I didn't tell you guys were the admiral was in the Mission Dialogue (I'm pretty sure I did), hes on the upper level of DS9's promenade, he should have circle around him on the minimap.

Tried searching for your mission but couldn't find it - or indeed any other PAMs on Tribble :(

Any published missions with detailed instructions on how to find it, please let us know :)

With the Foundry up for so short of a time, I doubt that any that have been made are worth playing.

This mission is, (or was), available. I just did it.
The "Search" thing is a bit messed atm.

Unless I missed something, the only clue I got was that there was trouble in the Trivas System. On going there.... nothing. Only after PMing you did I know this involved going to DS9 :)

    ...was fun!

    :D

EDIT: Just took the mish again. I stand corrected. It does say go to DS9 on selecting the mission.

At this stage, it's all about testing. Enjoyment? Pah! :)

If anyone is having trouble finding missions, it's worth stopping being a Foundry reviewer and then becoming one again. Seems like some old data was mucking up my search settings.

Tried the Mirror mission, as well as the developer mission. But I haven't been able to get into either since the Foundry went offline. I dunno if it has to be online for the mission to work, or if it is just the lag I am getting trying to zone.... be nice if the search window worked a little better so we can find missions just by clicking "new" or "top rated" so far I get nothing, unless I type in a name.

I played your mirror mission, it was pretty cool.

I've got one up, it's a bit of a rough draft, but it's called Uninfected.

I Played Uninfected It was pretty fun! I got all the way threw the ground Undine but when it came time to talk to whats her face(borg girl) i could not find her. Good start can't wait to see what people can do with some more time.

Thanks! I'm really exciting about going back in to polish up my first mission.

She should have been standing at the west side of the last room. The map should have circled her. If you get a chance to go back, let me know if it does.

    the bombing run - squires200
reckoning in the gamma quadrant - rodgerabbit
    federation template - infamousbrad
    whiteglove - jtfrost
    home invasion - crimsonkc
    cerrito - cettitouru
    test1 - werit
    firsttestklingon - cinos
    first - zeroniusrex
    nordan IX - almiranteross
    uninfected - six-of-nine

I asume we all simply want our misions to look the best beforte we publish them, but this is suposed to be a Beta.

It would be interesting if a Dev came and explained to what point we are suposed to make fully fleshed polished missions at this point, and to which point the testing needs tons of missions uploaded simply to test all aspects of the program.

I'm specially insterested in exploring dialog posibilities (for instance) in a classic "SCUMM graphic adventure" direction. And would like some "foundry tutorial missions" explaining workarounds we find allowing us to do interesting things with the gameplay.

Well I did a KDF one. I must say its pretty bad. Simple space kill x targets and you're done. Problem is I forgot to mention where you are supposed to go after leaving qo'nos to do the mission.

    Answer: Azure Nebula
I found my own mission by search authors Koopa27, its called Hunting. Not the best story, or really any story. But hey its my first mission.

Is there a way to search for all published missions? I tried using the new tab but nothing came up. I had to go to Custom and use the list above to find something.

Yeah, run a methodical search using two letter combinationing cycling through the entire alphabet. Thats how I got tha list.

Yeah I saw the Circle but no borg at the end of the hall. I think those last two hallways might have been to close together I had some undine clipping threw the wall perhaps it has somthing to do with this.

Nope. I know its Beta but I just wanted to play around with the tools.

I didn't see if missions could be linked to one another in any way. I'm guessing it is okay to put "Part I,2" in the
    titles to link content-connected missions?

    Open. Open. Open. (the Foundry)

Yeah, I'm gonna move to a map where they hopefully won't clip. I was able to take out the entire last mob through the wall lol.

I played a few , well quickly started a couple since they were taking tribble down and tbh you can see some have been rushed out to be the 'first' to be published etc but least we can see whats possible when Founders take care and time to make real interesting missions.

Foundary is looking like a great idea for STO :)

Pee Wee, I couldn't find yours when I searched. What are the objectives out of curiousity?
It's exciting getting to see what everyone is coming up with!

Just to note, you have to search for it. And wildcard symbols (*) don't seem to work. But, if you search for "echo" you can find it.

Maybe. In some sectors it seemed to work and others it didn't. Not sure why.

You can search by author or partial name.

Later, they'll be adding missions based on "What's New" "Highest Rated" and "What's Hot."

Ok the updated version is on the server now.

The only issue i have is the final section speak to the captain anyone know how to set it so i can have more then one option at the bottom ie What happened? Where have you been? I have to go now.

I had to do it as 3 separate sections which is pants.

    Mission name: Curiouser and Curiouser
Details: A routine investigation of Andoria turns into something else entirely...

    What it is:
A first attempt at a Foundry Mission
    A combat mission
    A story mission

    What it is not:
    A strong plot driven story
    A serious mission
    A joke mission

    Warnings:
    Lots of ground combat

Please test and break to your hearts' content. Gotta start somewhere if you want to make it to the top!
