Hi, I have played around with the Foundry a little (Servers or loaded) and I was wondering if there was any way to make a character more unique. I want to make a different looking character like I could in the normal character editor. I would really like to put my own character and Bridge crew in a mission. Is there anyway to be able to edit the characters more, in depth?

The create characters are for testing purposes only.
You're not leveling these and they don't count toward your character limit. As such, they're not as robust.
The idea is to make it simple and easy to work with - to get new users into the tools faster without worrying about their test avatar.

Oh, Im sorry, I wasn't specific enough. I mean with in the mission editor itself. So, like, a mission contact I want to make. It seems the Foundry's character creator only allows me to edit the outfit, and species and things like that, not actually change the details on the face like I can in normal editor. I wasn;t talking about my avatar.

Yeah, you also seem to be restricted to Starfleet or KDF clothing and racial options. I was keen on using the Romulan uniform as a baseline for my Garidian captain [A Final Unity, yo!], but had to go with a Vulcan with off-duty clothing instead.

Oh - that's very different form what I thought.
The reasoning was that many costume parts (and species parts) are incomptaible with morphing the faces. Also, they require significantly more data on a mission by mission basis.

I hope more sliders are eventually added.
Aah, I see.
But yes, I hope to have morphing faces someday.
Thanks for the answer, I will go back and see if I can actually make a working mission. :P
Dang it. I almost feel like there's no point in using the editor without a more intuitive NPC creation system. In other words, give us access to the same tools we can use in creating player avatars and bridge members. Surely you can find a way to prevent it from overloading the servers. Right?

They've definitely added a lot of features to the npcs, especially the enemies groups, which can be made to dance or do all kinds of animations. At first, we didn't have much of a way to edit the npcs at all.
I expect more and more features and animations to be added.
