I Can't Do Foundry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am having a problem with Foundry; I can;t get access to it.

What I did:

1. Sign up for Tribble

2. Copy a character over to Tribble

3. Start up Star Trek Online Launcher

4. Select " Tribble"

5. Wait about 20 minutes for the computer to patch

6. Patch finishes. I click ENGAGE

7. I enter the standard character selection screen but notice an additional tab at the top-left corner that says: CONTENT AUTHORING

8. I clck CONTENT AUTHORING

9. I read text about foundry. ( It tells me to create a character for Foundry )

10: "Houston, we have a problem! The create character button below the text IS NOT HIGHLIGHTED WHEN MY CURSOR GOES OVER NOR DOES A DROPDOWN BOX APPEAR WHEN I CLICK ON IT!

11. Go to STO fourms and request help. ( I will ticket CS if I can't get it ti work, so I REALLLY need suggestions)


Please help me out and give me some advice.

    Unfortunately, the Foundry isn't open for us normal users. They were going to release it on Tribble on Wednesday but the Foundry has a bug that they want to fix before it's released. They're saying possibly Monday, in the US, for the bug to get fixed and the Foundry made public on Tribble.

    It is in Closed Bata for a select number of players (not me :(). Open Beta on the Tribble server should be a available very soon.

    just wish they would hurry up and release it. They been saying its going to go on Tribble for the past several weeks.

    To add to the frustration very little real infomation about what you can and cannot do with the Foundry right now has been released as well as how editing systems, linking maps to your missions, what dialog options you have , triggers if you get any, how many types of ships you have acess to using in a mission? NPC options etc.

    have been given. Crypic is being cryptic :-p over the foundry tool. Thats why i think a lot of us are waiting to try it out so we can actually see what it can and cannot do, as its kind of hard to plan a mission or story idea and not know what limitations you have with it!

    please release it soon or if not at least give us some more infomation about it maybe even a walk through video would be nice!

    Would you rather have foundry so buggy that every map you make is messed up? I would assume no. There has been a closed beta tester on the forums that tells us there is a deal breaker bug on right now. Once the devs fix it, it will be released. Dstahl thinks it might come out this Monday. So fingers crossed!

    Yep, I'd much rather wait for the bug to be fixed. Tribble has been buggy lately, giving me TONS of server disconnect errors and its been frustrating. Definitely don't want that to happen when I'm trying to create content! ;)

    Not had any of those issues tbh. I hope it is released later today (monday already and all).
