How do i make a KDF character???

Just subbed and all I see is "federation" character button! is that normal? the manual says there are a lot of KDF species but they aren't on my list.... only 2 character slots but I assume thats normal too? thanks in advance for noob advice :)

    You have to play a Federation character until Lieutenant 6 to unlock the klingon character builder and to enter the k.d.f. forces.

    First of all ! Welcome to the Empire !

    Glad to see that you have decided to join the Empire, level up your fed toon to lt 6 and then you leave it and begin your journey on the red side, the right side.

    Study their space dock well walk with them till Lt C. 6... learn the location of key personal understand every last corridor.     No meta gaming The new guy is an implanted spy, he just don't know it yet is all. :)

    If you click on your rank it pulls up a little window which tells you what you unlock at certain ranks it say you unlock klingon faction at level five so is that just a lie.

    youre supposed to be able to at lt5, and lt6 didnt work for me either. i had to take the back door and do the questline to get it. it starts off at the klingon listening post quest and you go from there.

    exactly, you can start the quest series at lt 4 and by lt 5 youll be able to defect!

    Once you complete the mission, "Stop the Signal" the Klingons will be unlocked for play; the earliest that this can be done is Lt 4, but on a typical path it would be Lt 6.
