    I actually like that!

    Still miss my coat, though.

I haven't figured out if I like it. If the shoulders have to be pointed like that I'll be a little disappinted. I'd like to see the back though as they the original post said something about a cape or cloak didn't it?

Is there a back view like cape/cloak to it?

FYI, I just saw this quote from Dstahl
    dstahl wrote: »
The 200 day Klingon uniform reward has been updated to be a set of unique shoulder pads that in future vet reward cycles will get more details and a cloak. It is coming in Season 3. More TOS outfits are on the way, and we are looking for additional ways to get more generic uniforms to both species, but I'm asking the team to resolve the whole uniform/off-duty slots issue first.

That is an interesting idea, evolving Vet rewards.

This to me is yet anorther disapointment, coming close after the news that the gorn customisation options are now not going to be in for season 3 we find our Vet reward has been reduced from shoulders with a cloak to just a pair of (in my opinion) very ugly shoulders.

What makes it more annoyng to me is the fact that the feds are getting a total of around 6 or 7 new full outfits in the C Store soon, i guess we can see that the priorities are still with selling anything and everything they can to the feds while reducing and delaying Klingon items.

We still have no LG sash or jacket, we still have no longcoat and now It feels like with this vet reward they are saying you can have half now and the other half later on as your next vet reward, making one reward last for 2 (or more) reward cycles.

I understand the frustration and this kind of bothers me as well. Is the cloak part going to replace the Captain's Yacht for the KDF side?

This is such a disapptointment. We have been shafted yet again by Cryptic Studios. They tell us we are going to get a reward, but change it. I am certain they changed it because as usual, they coulld not make it work.... Perhaps by season 4 or 5 (if the game lasts that long) we might get a proper veteran reward, but then again, I won't hold my breath.

We have no new rank sashes for LTG, we have a nasty-looking veteran reward (which I shall not wear as I find it sorely lacking), we have new ships that we cannot customize, and what do we have to show for "fleshing out the Klingon side" ? We finally get crafting (which they say we are supposed to gain access to better disruptors...but I don't see it...have they bothered to turn that on for testing, or are we supposed to expect it?), but what else? The veteran reward is something that very few...well, almost nobody will wear, and the things in crafting for the KDF side I can get from my fed....so...tell me, with all of the focus squarely on the Fed side with new uniform options than they know what to do with, and more C-Store options than they know what to do with, I wonder what is being done for us. They tell us that interesting KDF things are coming down the pipe but where are they? If the veteran reward is the "interesting stuff" then, I say they can KEEP IT... I am tired (as I am sure some of you are) for keeping on Cryptic to provide some quality content and rewards for the Klingon side when they all have turned out to miss the mark not by a few feet but a mile....

Am I the only one that feels this way?...No...but there, I said it...I feel the veteran reward, released as it is (a pair of shoulder pads....ooo...not...) is almost like the back end of a slap in the face for KDF players who had been assured by Cryptic that they were not being forgotten. I doubt I have the necessary skills to come up with something better, but at least they could have listened to their players.

Heres the latest excuse..err i mean quote from Dstahl explaining the idea behind the TRIBBLE reward we are now getting ..........

This quote was taken from a thread in the main discussion part of the forum.

The character art team was asked to make some cool rewards for Klingons and they proposed this "it gets better over time" approach and I endorsed it because it sounds cool they way they have it planned out. The character art guys are committed to making this cool and since this is their idea, I think its cool too.

My gut says no matter what we made, some players wouldn't like it. Its not like I asked them to make the crappiest think they could think of... I asked them to come up with something neat that works for ALL KDF species - and so far they haven't let me down
    .

Apparantly they think that instead of us getting a fully finished uniform peice its 'Cool' to spoon feed us it a bit at a time, whats the betting that part 2 of our reward will replace the vanity ship at 400 days?

More worrying is the fact that if they really believe this is a cool reward for Klingons it doesnt look good for any future rewards/items ect.. for us Klingons.

I realy dont see why cryptic has to make simple things complicated the Federation side was the dress uniform style jacket so why didnt they do the same for the klingon side like worf and the other kligons wore in the show something along this line and as you can see they could be styled different ways, i assume by your standing in the empire,

Yeah. It's a rather weak excuse. I don't blame Dan, but rather the art department for thinking that dishing the reward out in pieces was a "cool idea". I am not a happy Klingon.

You know if it was actually retro-active I might dig the idea. Like the first piece becomes the 100 day reward, the second piece the 200, and the so on... that way for those of us on 300 days we really do get something special.

It's alright but it doesn't really fit aesthetically with the current clothing options many KDF players are restricted too.

This. I like the looks of it, we just need a more "armored" look to go along with it.

Well, that and if the shoulders weren't pointed. I was actually going to use it until I saw that they were pointed.

It is amazing how upset some people get over a vanity costume. I sometimes wonder if they are real Klingon Warriors or just a bunch of Fawning Fashionistas. ;)

Fawning - Def 2. (of a person) Give a servile display of exaggerated flattery or affection, typically in order to gain favor.

I don't think many of us can be accused of being fawning... there are a few in the KDF who seem to fawn over anything we are give, but not many...

    Some pics

    Without any sash

    With T1 sash

    With T2 sash

    With T3 sash

    With T4 sash

    With T5 sash

    From behind

    From the side

Note that you can change the color of the should pads, at least some of the colors, like all metallic costume pieces the colors only appear to shade these areas. I had mine set to all black. So the yellow portion at the top does not change colors, much like the Fed 200 day jacket yellow/gold pieces.

As you can seethe T5 sash clips with this like it does everything else. This begs the question - why do we even have this thing?

You think they would have learnt from that, was a fair bit of displeasure with the fed coats gold bits being unchangeable.
