Two problems...

1. Are you aware that using Sci Fleet, Engineer Fleet or Tactical Fleet puts everyone in your team at Red Alert and therefore uncloaks them without warning?

2. If you drop a Repair Platform from the new Varanus Sci Ship... and a cloaked friendly ship flys near the platform, two hull repair drones spawn and start follwing the CLOAKED ship around, revealing his position, and there is no way to get rid of them? Cloak (and Mask Energy Signature) needs to immediately de-spawn any assigned Repair Drones.

    1. I didn't know that! Is that a new "feature". (E.g. bug?)

    2. Haha! See, Science vessels are the bane of Klingons. :p
I am not sure if you would always want them to disappear- what if you found this a handy thing to keep your cloaked vessels alive? But I guess a compromise solution isn't really possible. Either they despawn on cloak/MES, or they stay the entire time.

Yeah the way various cloaks are working in game with other abilities is sort of, well to be blunt - moronic.

And with the B'Rel refit it is just getting worse. All hail the Patrol Cruiser! Who needs cloak? :D

And who would have thought, during the tribble test of these that the Patrol Cruiser would come out on top? Certainly not I. They borked the B'rel refit from test to live big time.

I think it is just something that was not thought through completely

Actually I discovered this Fed side in Ker'rat in my Defiant-R... I was in a team with two other people but they were actually quite some distance off. I had three borg cubes between 5 to 10 km away... and a whole bunch of spheres and probes nearby... none of which I was worried about because I was cloaked... until suddenly I wasn't cloaked  Well THAT woke me right up, I can tell you!

The easiest solution would just be that they de-spawn the moment the ship they are assigned to uses MES or cloak. You can always go pick up a new set later by flying back to a platform.

Of course it would come out on top. it's a Star Cruiser. The moment Cruisers become viable (or even OP) in this game, the Star Cruiser rocked most.

What I really didn't expect was that they would TRIBBLE up the B'Rel so badly in the "end". (Let's hope this isn't the end.)

Aye, the team buff for my Fed Sci Captain always throws me into red alert and drops my cloak but I didn't realize that it was getting the rest of my team as well. Of course, if a Nebula on my team is near by and uses their detection grid that also drops me out of cloak.

    /facepalm

Something really does need to be done with the NPC's maintaining a target lock on cloaked ships. It's a similar issue to the carriers whose pets, once assigned to a target, won't ever lose track of them short of them being destroyed (and maybe a quick log out?).

A gamewide change to cloaking? I have never noticed any of the FLeet powers doing this before in pvp.

That is because most people never seem to actually use the 'fleet' powers ;)

i use mine in PvP and never noticed this...good find my friend...as for the B'Rel i think Cryptic will do some tweeking for us...me personally i havent been having any problems with her...i use my hit-and-run tactics when in trouble just like my Hegh'ta...once out of range i cloak and only use Engineering Team for my heals...shes faster than my Hegh'ta and has a better turn rate...cant nobody catch me when i run for safety....the point is if you love the ship dont use the Enhanced Cloak for that which it is...use it as a Battle Cloak like you would use the Hegh'ta

True, but I use them all the time and haven't noticed this "effect" in pvp the last time I played. Haven't played pvp in the last two days-so is this a recent thing?

Well my sudden unexpected borg 'close encounter of teh suck kind' happened about a week ago, which was when I first noticed  this effect but I assume it was always there since the 'fleet' abilities were added, but I cannot be sure.
