Can we do a one time trade in?

If I read the calendar correctly they are finally going to offer up some new ships for Lt. Generals?

This upsets me A LOT for my older Lt. General... The only ship she could pick was this weird carrier - she is a bop player and the carrier she flew once but does not interest me/her at all.

Seems harsh that she is stuck with that or has to earn a years worth of emblems to get a new ship.

I would happily trade in the carrier (yuck) for one of the new ships.

Except for this she has been my favorite character and I would hate to have to re-level her from scratch.

I do hope that some sort of arrangement is going to be made for older characters who got stuck with that thing because there was no other choice.

It's been asked before and there has not been any real official response. Someone (Dan Stahl, I think) mentioned that they were looking at a way to do a turn-in type of dealy, but have pretty much been hush-hush since then. So, really, it's up in the air right now. I do hope that they let those who already spent their token to get what they really want.

Well, I was one of the lucky ones I suppose. I tested the Kar'Fi on tribble and immediately hated it. I decided to stay with the ones I already have. I still have the LTG token as I haven't used it yet...lol.
As far as having a way to solve your problem, I doubt there will be a free way to do it. I suppose they will only allow the unlock for CP...Then again, I could be wrong, but when have they not tried to give us the royal #$%@! over?

Unless you're bought a lot of emblem equipment you could start again, the leveling up process is pretty quick when doing PvE since the time/payout is a lot higher there. Also get a bunch of free respec tokens.

A long time ago (think it was just after season 2 launched and the Klingon ships had just been announced for end of august) Dstahl was in the TTS channel and i asked him specifically about this, his reply was that they were looking to do somthing for any player that was LG when the new ships arrived due to the fact that we had only the one option when the season released, unfortunatly it kinda seems that this is no longer the plan..this has been asked recently many times in diferent threads and the only answer of any kind came in a post he made where he stated that 'The Kar'Fi has undergone extensive changes since it launched' (or words very similar to that, cant find the exact quote atm)..from that if you read between the lines it seems like there telling us there will be no exchange/extra free token for those who bought the Kar'Fi.

If they dont offer some way to get the new ships for those who got that ugly fish ship (other than 500 emblem grind or C Store) there going to upset a lot of the Klingon player base just when it seemed like they were starting to win the trust back again.

Yep Cryptic stated, but I have no idea when or where, that they knew our limitations with the carrier choice and they would factor that in.

Speerately Dan has stated repeatedly that things in the C-Store will as much as possible be also available in gae somehow. We can expect to have an option to obtain these ships without having to part with real cash, although that offer may, like the Breen BOf, be available for a limited time only. Which I think is perfectly reasonable.

I just logged in today after they patched in the 3 new Lt general ships and

I had a free token for any one of my choice AND I didn't even have to trade in the Kar'Fi

I can confirm this as well. Sadly after having tested the changes to the ships on tribble I can't really say there are any of the new ones I want to spend the token on.
