How do I make an Orion female with bare legs but without loincloth?

I've seen people do it but I don't know how.

    You cannot, if you've seen it then it was a graphical glitch that typically corrects itself when you get close enough.

    I think it has to be done with the off duty uniform only

    My orion has a off duty slot where i can chose not to display the loincloth.

    its an option in the tailor....

    Its only available on a player character tho, you cant do it on a BO.

    It seems to be bugged. My second slot was called "offduty" and I could select to change the belt. Though it never saved it. And now all my slots are "normal" uniform slots and you can only choose bvetween the orion belts.

    Well, but what does it matter. I feel naked enough with my orion toon :P

    So the loincloth is part of being considered "on duty" for Orions. The more you know. :D

    Using the off duty slot you can do quite a few cool things with the Orion costumes, like boots with the loincloth and bare legs, or using the new chest armor in conjunction with the bikini tops.

    However, you get one chance to do this right. If you want to get a unique look, use the off duty slot, get it absolutely perfect, because you can't change it when you're done. If you save the changes then modify it later, it will mess up the slot and costume. So get it right the first time and hope you never want to change it.

    The thing I don't get is why cryptic passed on this opportunity to make a battle bikini. Orion women don't do work or fight, they send men in their place, so if she is going to get dirty, she's going to wear something protective that's still damn sexy.

    Thats what personal force fields are fore.
    What good does a piece of cloth do that evaopartes right along you when you get hit?
    Beside our outfits are metal, it is protective gear :)

    I was thinking of something that at least looks like it might be functional...and maybe something similar to what can be seen in other genres. What we have now is certainly going in that direction...now maybe we can get a few more options?

    cryptic is supposed to be big on character customization, but it just occurred to me that given the level of attention given to the Klingon faction (and that whole story) we're actually a lot better off than at launch. Now if only we can have a number of options on par with the feds, which I have a feeling is on the way, just a ways off on the schedule.

    Probably for the same reason they passed on the Klingon cleavage breastplate. It would make us too sexy compared to the Federation. To compensate, the Feds now get cleavage jackets to turn their officers into TRIBBLE.

    Once the animators are done making the open jacket for feds they should be free to add some sexiness to the klingon faction...one hopes:(

    I have an Orion and I was told that the off duty slot is where it's happening to solve the issue. However, when I had tried to change the option, it would not save it. When I submitted a ticket, the devs told me KDF was not supposed to have an off-duty slot and would therefore not support the problem. The issue would be forwarded to the team for a solution (yeah...like that will happen) and to check later on....

    I think that they continually keep pushing us to the back of the bus...This would certainly not stand if it was the fed side....figures....

    Have you never seen Orion males or Gorn NPCs in game? I don't think Gorn PCs can go topless, but Orion males certainly can.

    This bug I first saw around the time when the Orion females had the skimpy outfits first added. As other have said, yes it was in the Off Duty option. But every time I've tried to replicate the bug I cannot. However I did save the off duty uniform like it was. (So sue me) So I think maybe there was something that allowed you to select it that eventually got fixed, but if you had it saved with no loincloth that shadow of a bug is still there as long as you don't change the outfit.
